Cloning 16GB USB to 16GB M.2

I use my cryptocurrency mining rigs with 16GB USB sticks. I recently bought a bunch of 16GB m.2 drives so I can run them from the m.2 slot and the USB dongle doesn't stick out of the motherboard. Since these m.2 drives are 42mm in diameter, you need to use a screw and nut. to attach it. There is a fixed screw mount for the 2280m2 SSD, which is easier to use. After installing the 42mm drive, I plug it into a USB hub along with a USB stick. I then boot into Clonezilla and clone the USB to m.2…

Upgrading my laptop's M2 SSD was made very easy

I needed to upgrade my Linux laptop's M2.2280 SSD to a larger one. This adapter came with my original SSD mounted in Ubuntu 20.04LTS with no issues and very quickly transferred my old data from the old SSD to the newly installed SSD in my laptop. No glitches, blackouts or any drama. The installed SSD got very hot during file transfer, so I can understand why some other closed case M2 SSD adapters have overheating issues. While I'd like to reuse my old M2 drive as reliable external storage and…

In my opinion this is an M.2 SSD USB board to get

Summary: It works as it should with no disappointments. Bigger SSD. The first USB board I bought was flaky and unreliable and I gave up after 4 hours (look for my other reviews if you're wondering which "Revain recommended" board to avoid). It worked great the first time with no problems. The holding hardware that came with this board was easier to use. (Hard to find, it was buried in the bottom of the anti-static bag and almost missed it). You will need a Phillips screwdriver with a small tip.

Perfect little SSD to USB adapter

This little device worked great and helped me salvage a computer I thought was beyond repair. My second computer got stuck in the BIOS at boot time and was not responding. I thought it was a hardware glitch since you can usually at least open the bios. I figured it would be affordable enough to at least hook up an SSD and see if it would work. He worked great. I connected a Windows 10 SSD hard drive to a Windows 10 desktop and was able to view my old hard drive and recover my files with no…

My 1TB M2 works fine

and although it has a single memory chip in the area where they could fit 3 more it fits full length. I love that you can split it up however you want. One thing I'm not too happy with is that the M2 drive ends at the bottom instead of at the top, so it works best if you have a side USB port. Otherwise, it's heavy ground and weighs down on the vertical USB port. It was interesting that my M2 has 3 RED LEDs which nobody will ever see when it is in the laptop. But hey, it supports 1TB SSD. Mines…

Works well with SATA NGFF m.2 SSD.

A simple controller for my SATA NGFF m.2 SSD collection works well enough for my needs. See the full specs I've listed, this is NOT for PCIE or NVME devices and I'm willing to bet most of them couldn't get it to work using those different standards and reviews with iD10t -should have removed bugs. Other than that it's the usual cheap fee and yes they may have received a DOA and I'm sure the seller will refund/replace. and yes all these standards can be confusing, just double check you are…
