I used this as a deep conditioner after a cleansing wash. My 2B curls loved the moisture level, but the tropical scent was terrible. It smelled like a strange musk straight out of the tube. After drying, the musk remained and turned into an almost musky perfume smell reminiscent of a nursing home. The deep conditioning properties weren't amazing enough for me to pass the test of any other fragrance or even the unscented version.

I have very fine, easily weighed down medium to high porosity hair that can range from 2a, 2b and 2c depending on handling. My hair looks very healthy and shiny but it contains little or no protein so my hair becomes very smooth after use. My hair needs more protein. However, I have found that I can get great curls if I apply rice water (for protein) to my hair before applying, leave on for about 30 minutes, and then wash out! I will not buy this product again but for now it will work.

This deep conditioner is a mask with a powerful weapon. This is one of the most intense I've ever used. I have waves 2b/2c, my hair is normal, porous. Very thick, lightly perfumed and defines my curls. I sometimes use it as a holiday because the bottle says you can. Found this while looking for protein and coconut oil free products and didn't fall in love with them! I will buy again and again. I recommend!

I have 3c/3b/3a curls. This worked 100% on my 3a back curls. Super soft, shiny and healthy. It defined my 3c (toasted and bleached) curls that make up the front of my hair and softened the second time I deeply conditioned it. My 3b curls didn't catch on either, that's where my "kitchen" is. I started cgm in Dec '19 and haven't had great results. That was until I discovered that you need to use products based on your hair's porosity, not the type of curl. It's like buying a cleanser based on face shape and not skin type, it won't work. I have low porosity hair and this is the only deep conditioner that really helps! I have very curly hair. I hoped it would satisfy my hair cravings. And I saw that it was a curly girl, a proven method. I honestly don't know what all the hype is about because it did next to nothing for my hair and was quite expensive. It doesn't smell good either.
