False advertising JETchip!

I purchased this item from Revain after checking the part number on the Jet Performance website. This item was advertised as being compatible with a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L. Unfortunately, the money didn't go down the drain. It was smaller than the original with less padding and moved further in the hull. Had to order another part from Amazon under SLP Performance part 100229 160 degrees and it worked fine and was the same size as the original.

THIS IS THE CORRECT USE

Great product if you're getting the fan to start at 93C. The car stays between 92 and 90, which is great. Checking it with OBD or a computer will give you a real reading. The gauge on the car dashboard has a factory problem, it always stays at 100 degrees Celsius even if it was a little lower or a little higher. I do not advise anyone to drive in temperatures below 90 degrees Celsius BECAUSE IT REQUIRES 15% more fuel. Most often you change the starting temperature of the fan from 107 to 93…

Pros
  • Provides accurate water metering throughout the engine
Cons
  • It's OK

Doesn't fit well and doesn't lower temperatures

was disappointed! The thermostat was smaller in diameter than the original and the gasket was thinner. Difficult to install as it didn't stay in the case when trying to put it back on. I'm afraid it will run out over time. The original is firmly attached to the body. I had to hold the neck of the case and tried to tighten the screws with others. The temp still reads 210. The whole idea was to lower the operating temperature. It could be cheaper but the result is the same. The only reason I gave
