JGR Powerstroke Diesel Water Drain Review

Great! Helped me when an OEM steel connector thread was getting rusty. Received it the next day and was able to remove the stretchy rubber stopper and zip ties I used to move the truck.

All your water separator headaches will be history once you use this. But I made changes. I cut off the support rod. It's a mess hanging in the drain hole. Otherwise he is perfect.

I almost gave up putting it on under the ponytail and just clipping it like other reviews said, but just when I did wanted to give up, everything went! It might work, you just have to be patient. After that, putting it on is child's play and it fits great.

Working as described, some people said the drive shaft had to be removed for the initial installation but that was not the case on my 2004 4x4 Lariat. No leakage, looks good. Even if it's under the car. Mine was bought to replace a damaged fork, not an upgrade but it does the job.

My 03 4x4 Excursion 6.0 had almost no clearance around the front driveshaft. I managed to get it onto the driveshaft, but it didn't physically go far enough to start cutting. I'm not sure if I should cut a long skinny "T" or something like that. I chose not to use it instead of trimming it.

That little pin sticking out to hang on the lift pump housing looks pretty silly. The purpose of this drain is to drain the manure out of the pump housing. If this plug is loose, you cannot simply flush the pump housing. So I used a grinder to cut this post off, problem solved, everything works great now.

This is definitely better than the original Ford design. The only problem is that the kit does not come with instructions. I know it looks silly...you unscrew one and screw the other in, but it comes with two o-rings and doesn't say why. I just assumed that one of them was optional and stuck with it. So far has given me the right because I have no leaks. In general, however, if you're still using the factory water drain plug in the fuel system, it's straight away.

I love the fit and finish of the fork. The only complaint I got was that the included o-ring was too stretchy. After I screwed it to the case, trying to unscrew it got pretty tight at one point. Came to find out the o-ring had landed in the middle of the thread. I learned that because he was too elastic. Did it a few more times with the same result. Turns out there was an OEM replacement o-ring that fixed the problem.
