I've tried all the ways to connect the Manny cord. Trust me, if you don't have the right tool, it's next to impossible and usually a big, frustrating struggle ensues. It really kills the noise when it comes to the excitement of trying new knotting techniques. This little tool is the only one I've found that works, works well, and works every time. It was a relief to find and a pleasure to use. Do not be shy. do yourself a favor Get one NOW. Damn, get a replacement. You will not regret it.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Ah ha. (Perfect)

After trying Manny's method with standard size chucks, I found I needed smaller needles. I have this and can splice paracord like a pro (but sometimes I just fuse them together if a small bundle doesn't matter). To insert paracord, simply melt the end and shape it for easy insertion. Before connecting the 2 pieces of paracord, I first melted the ends of the paracord slightly by inserting the tip of the larger cord into the end of the paracord and melting it around the cord. to create a "straw".

Pros
  • Lace-up Needles
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Works for Manny How to Splice Paracord 550

I purchased these solely for splicing 550 paracord on the manufacturer's recommendation. I wanted to make two tone cords for the local boy scout troop so they could practice knotting. It works, but it definitely requires trial and error. First let me say that they appear to be very well made and coated. In terms of fit and finish I would say they are great. Well, if you're using them to splice a 550 (or anything with a 550), be aware that the screw hole on them is tiny. If it's possible to get…

Pros
  • Making
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
