Main staple wire, but not really super bright.Like this one because it's all one cable rather than 3 or some of the other wire offerings that have multiple cables hanging from the main battery case.

The first picture shows it on, the second picture shows it off. Besides it not being as bright as we would have liked… it dies really quickly! It maybe stayed on for an hour. I wish I would have known it wasn’t long lasting before purchasing. Or that it couldn’t be turned on while plugged in to charge. It worked for what we needed it for, just could have been better. I did purchase the white so maybe other colors are different.

Nice product, my kids like it for illuminating their blanket forts and Lego cities.On arrival though one of the power wire solder joints was loose. This led to the light working intermittently depending on how we held the cable.Fixing this was easy enough with a soldering iron. If you are without a soldering iron, if you find a loose solder joint you might be able to push it into place (so the light turns on) and then encase the joint in super glue. Good luck!

Don’t know how they managed 3.8 stars…Granted it was only $12 but the fact that you can barely see it unless your in pitch blackness makes them way overpriced. I just opened the box and tried it out and thought maybe they were defective or I had bad batteries…nope. That’s just the way they are. Do yourself a favor and drop a few extra bucks and get some decent led rope.

Worked great! I attached the line in a haphazard zigzag to the inside of a clear dome umbrella for a jellyfish costume. Loved the end result. Could have been longer … just wasn’t sure how much I would need.

The white color is not at all bright. With any other light source around you almost can’t tell it’s on. In pitch black it’s visible but nothing like the pictures would have you believe.

I used this neon light on a diorama I am working on. I cut the wire to the desired length and capped it. Works great. No issues and easy to set up. Get the required power adapter and you're all set.

Purchased to add to the inside edge of my poker table. There is no adhesive (I only mention this because it was a question asked during the star review). It lacks in brightness. Nice that it comes with a rechargeable battery and USB cord.

I bought the purple version and it’s trash. It’s not bright at all, you’d need to use it in a pitch black room to even tell it’s turned on. Maybe other colors would be brighter, but judging by the reviews it’s a common problem.

If you need a very thin light emitting cable this is the way to go. Not as bright as I personally needed it but it's not bad especially for costumes, cosplay, ect.

You always expect the real product to be different then the picture but the light was maybe 1/3 as bright as shown Poor quality control!

This was extremely disappointing purchase. My light straight out of the box was so dim during the night, you could barely make it out. Throughout using it, it eventually got dimmer and dimmer and it would auto-turn off after 15 or so minutes. What a waste of money and I wish I could get a refund.

Purchased 2 red, 2 yellow, and 2 blue. Added batteries and tested them all. The blue and yellow were bright, but the red was a little less vibrant. All turned on just fine at first. I was sewing stick figure costumes for three kiddos. One strand per sweatshirt and one strand per pant. I spent 2 hours Hand stitching a red strand to some pants, and once finished, went to test it in the dark and it wouldn’t even turn on. We swapped batteries, tested Voltage. nothing. At first glance, this little wire may look unimpressive but it packs a punch where it matters. brightness. The neon blue is very vibrant and is perfect for highlighting the characteristics of this banana. I included the banana in the photo for scale. The light and battery pack combo is about the size of the banana. The light itself is many times brighter than a banana. When it is unraveled, the light can encircle the banana 8x’s. Compact, easy to use, and fun. Very soft humming noise while the light is on. Extremely quiet. Not a nuisance. Unreliable.

These were a great way for beginners to start with EL (electroluminescent) wires. EL wires glow with cool mysterious colors, and they can be bent into interesting shapes. The wire is nice and bright, and easy to bend and work without damage. Just turn them on and you can get solid light or a variety of blinking patterns.
