Not suitable for Polaris TrailBlazer 250!

Does not fit, wrong part. It is said to fit the Trailblazer 250 but that is clearly a different part (see image). My ATV's original part is on the right, this one is on the left. See how this one is flat on top? unusable.

Pros
  • As far as satisfied
Cons
  • I will write later

Misapplication

The master cylinder body was the same as the '98 Scrambler 400 but the piston was different. I swapped out the new seals for my old piston and put it in the new body. The brake pedal works great again. Docked to a star for the wrong list of apps, but still, with a little tweaking, a lot cheaper than the real Polaris part.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Didn't fit 2005 Polaris Sportsman 500

Seems to be good quality but didn't fit my 2005 Polaris Sportsman 500HO. The insert is too deep to use without the included adapter and the adapter will not fit the line. The line went straight to the part, but even when fully tightened it couldn't reach the bottom to form a seal. Splashes of brake fluid with each press.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Don't waste your time buying OEM

I installed a master cylinder on my 2005 Polaris 400 Sportsman. I first found that the threads for the brake line were wrong, which didn't really matter, I replaced the fitting on the wizard's end. The problem appeared when you press the pedal after everything has been pumped. You get a geyser of fluid in the reservoir and no brake pressure. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money by spending hundreds more and buying an OEM part.

Pros
  • Solid Finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, must be a duck, yes, that was rubbish.

So last night I went to work to install the rear master cylinder in front of the jingke. After 1/2 hour and stripping the threads I can say this will not fit the '99 Sportman 500 Brake Line Compression Nut. I thought the threads needed cleaning so I did and no the brake nipple threads were too small on the new one. I was able to turn the brake line nut about 1/2 turn before it stopped. Thinking I'm doing something wrong, I took the old nipple off the old cylinder and you know what, it didn'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works with correct adapter

Purchased for a 2009 Polaris Sportsman 500. The problem was that the hose that came with it was metric and the rear brake hose was a 3/8-24 English fitting. If you experience this problem, purchase an AGS BLF-31C fitting from Revain or your local auto parts store and use it in place of the fitting that came with it. They cost about $3 and are a 3/8-24 to 10mm metric brake line adapter. I cut off the 10mm threadless tip piece (otherwise it would be too long) and used it with a washer. The buttโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handy item

  • So far so good
