Good quality with the basics and a little bit more!

The quality of this set was a pleasant surprise, especially for this price! For example, the scissors were a good size - 6 1/3 inches and seemed sturdy. Not cheap. The needles are of the highest quality and the straight needles come in their own case for protection. The thimble is amazing! Threads and lots of thread on each spool - 55 meters! Awl and the brush used for gluing have beautiful wooden handles. The awl feels quite heavy. The bone folder is made of real bone and feels good in theโ€ฆ

Great starter kit essential for beginners

Bought because I wanted to try bookbinding, as a beginner I saw it had almost everything I needed (except glue and paper) and it proved fast than effective. be worth the price. I've made five different books with just the set and each one turned out great. The only thing I can say didn't work very well was the ring and awl. The pin ring didn't fit my finger, but I didn't really need it to tie. However I used it, I placed it on the first knuckle of my finger and used it to push the needleโ€ฆ

A fun but incomplete bookbinding starter kit. Don't expect sharp scissors or an awl

***** When we make book covers out of chipboard, we need to add glue to them. Yes!) As long as it comes with half the instructions with pictures, they could be a lot better. I recommend YouTube for dozens of very clear and detailed walkthroughs with live demos for each step. I love love love the idea of a starter binding set! This is a very cheap/low quality entry-level kit, but I applaud the intent behind it! No wonder why the price is low but I expected the tools to work as intended. Bluntโ€ฆ
