My first toner visit: Tester

I rely on this tool every day to find the right cable exit. I carry 2 terminals and 1 bell on my tool belt. The front end is very fragile so you need to take good care of them. Take this from a man who has been using this tool for 4 years. Use the barrels that come with the tool. Have short straps handy to keep the barrel from moving in and out of the tool.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Coax continuity tester Easy to use,

The Jonard PT-300 coax continuity tester arrived quickly and was exactly as described. It's packed with a battery, so I was immediately ready to test a few coax lines around the house to confirm which line goes to which room and when. It's very easy to use and the sound was loud enough to be heard without being too loud. The price was reasonable and the quality seems very high.

  • Very good price

For testing RV cables

Excellent product. Used to check for a bad cable connection from my RV to the TV. Very easy to use with good instructions. All of the RV cords were behind the walls, but with this device I was able to locate the faulty T-connector in minutes. I like that it fits in your pocket, beeps loudly and flashes to indicate a good connection. This device is indispensable when long cables are to be shot behind walls.

  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Repair

The perfect DIY must-have

One of those inexpensive devices that should not be missing in any electronic tool box. It is very easy to use and finds the "other end" of a coaxial cable. In our case we have multiple RG6 cables running outside and through a three story house. Connect one end of this device to the cable and find the other end. Mark both accordingly, continue to the next cable. Highly recommended if you're trying to figure out where all those wires go in the house you just bought. (Grin)

Great product Best in multi tester

Great product, I don't know who invented this product but they are geniuses. Every house should have one of these. When I went to the spooky attic, I found at least fifteen coaxial cables. It looked like a bowl of spaghetti up there, ugh. Anyway, I plugged one end into the connector that required me to find the other end and started looking for a match in the attic. The first cable is not, the second cable is not, the third cable is not, the fourth cable is BINGO. What could have been a…

Works as expected on the electrics

This is a speaker replacement, it works well and as expected. It works when power is applied, and not just with "toner". However, if you plug the amplifier's power supply directly into the outlet you want to tone, it works like a "toner". So if you just buy a speaker and have a power supply with an amplifier, you could theoretically save a few bucks. I use "" with the word "toner" because it's really not a true linear toner, just a power supply over a line that feeds the speaker. watch…

Great product for the price!

Great toner! I work as a technician at Spectrum so I use it every day. I have bought at least 4 other toners before and this is by far my favorite. It lights up to let me know if there's a short or if a splitter is connected. The part that makes the sound is screwed into the base so it's almost impossible to lose it when you put it back in when you're done (my biggest problem is always losing parts). Another problem I've had is false alarms from other toners. They say that the line I choose is…

  • Sleek design

  • Poor design

I'm glad I bought this from Electric

I've had this thing for a long time but haven't used it. This thing saved me a lot of time and headaches today. I just ran a coaxial line from the attic to the living room. I connected it with an F-type keystone connector and a short homemade coax cable. When I plugged everything in and turned on the FiOS box, there was nothing but a blank screen. I couldn't figure out if it was the new drop or the short cable connected to the box. I remember having it in my pocket so I decided to test the…
