Nearly flat bottom for faster/better screening!

So easy to clean! For example, a slightly larger hole size, as this will speed up the work. Three feet at the bottom make it very durable. Bought this to sift out dog food crumbs from dog food. Works perfectly!

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Large screen - perfect for the gardener!

I often use this strainer to strain boiled potatoes for mashed potatoes. Great for all types of fresh fruit/veg (maybe not so much for spaghetti but I have a special strainer for that). Ideal for large pasta. Very durable - love mine!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Security

Beautifully designed! in Kitchenware & Gadgets

I purchased this colander after the straight handle broke after years of use. It is great! The "curved" handle gives you good leverage when holding the colander, and the shape makes it much easier to pour items from it than a round colander. My only regret is not ordering it sooner!

  • Decent Performance

Large Colander - Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

I have replaced a very old metal colander and I really like this one. The handle is very practical and a good size. I wanted 3 stackables but they were out of stock at the time I needed to replace them. This size is good for a bunch of grapes, tomatoes, lettuce and of course PASTA. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Damaged

Used as a compost tray in the sink

We use this strainer in the kitchen sink as a container for leftovers, eggshells, banana peels etc before taking it outside to compost. Works perfectly; fits perfectly in a corner of the sink, easy to carry, strong grip; and I wash it in the dishwasher. Everything is one piece so it's hard to imagine how this strainer could break. I'm sure it will last for many years.

Pros
  • New to my collection

Amazing colander matches colander

Incredible colander, replaced my mum's white plastic colander 10 years ago! Works even better than your old screen! Effortlessly passes through pasta and sifts dirt from beans and even helps with rinsing fruit and vegetables thanks to a very compact handle. Odourless, very well made plastic, designed in the UK, BPA free and incredibly ergonomic design 5 stars highly recommended

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic

Bought this strainer to replace the one melted down by a roommate. I liked my old one because the position of the handle allowed it to be hung on the center baffle of my sink, allowing the colander to be used hands-free even when there were dishes in the sink. Bought expecting to be able to do the same but the handle is at 110 degrees so it can't be hung. Disappointed with it, but other than that it seems solid - definitely thicker plastic than my old one and withstood at least 3 passes through

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything ok
