Looks cooler than it actually is

Looks good, two screens go well together. However, if you want to strain the pasta or whatever and then put the strainer straight into the pan, with this one you can just forget about it. children of the world! The square pin does not fit in the round hole. So it's not practical.

Excellent screens. to kitchen appliances and gadgets

Two large sieves. You are the perfect size. I like how they sit in the corner of the sink. Empty the noodles and the sieve stays upright, nothing spills. The smaller one is ideal for washing berries and draining zucchini. They have so many uses. I have heard of Joseph Joseph products but this is my first purchase and will not be my last.

Sturdy construction, comfortable to hold

I used one of these in a vacation rental and was immediately amazed at how comfortable it feels in the hand, how well it lays on the countertop and how durable it is. yes (for plastic filters). This is a truly innovative design; what I expected from a company like Oxo, for example. Now that I've owned it for a while, I still really enjoy using it. Who talks about sieve like that?

Similar Quality Colanders

I'll confess I'm a little Joseph Joseph fan when it comes to kitchenware and these colanders are no exception. You feel solid and thoughtful. From the nested design and small feet on either side to sit comfortably, to the handles and triangular shape that allows you to pour food gently into the pan or pot without the stray bits on the table or the hotplate fall. They will put my old screen to shame!

What an improvement over the traditional sieve!

Traditional sieve requires two hands. This phrase is required. Ergonomically, they feel so right. Great for linguine, ravioli or for rinsing vegetables. Smaller for your preserves: tomatoes, beans, corn or mushrooms. Both screens, although curved, have 3 small knobbly legs which, together with the handle as a fourth leg, add stability to the product. It sits nicely in your sink or anywhere else without tipping over. As for the design: they don't deform. Make you feel like they will last…

Well made and easy to use

I have had a pair of J&J sifter spoons made of the same material for several years and they have held up great. So when I came across this set of screens, it was an easy choice for me. I really like their ergonomics, they are much easier to hold with the vertical handle. Because of their shape, they appear deceptively smaller than they really are. I ended up using the larger one for the pasta and there were quite a few on the bottom - you could easily have used the smaller one. Which I now use…

Why choose THIS set?

I had never heard of 'Joseph Joseph' but when I saw this nest strainer set in the store I was definitely impressed. Since I don't have much space in my office, this is the answer. They are hard plastic, nothing flimsy. Small feet allow you to stand in the sink or anywhere else. The little one's handle snaps into the big one's recess. Just to wash your hands? Absolutely not – think of a top shelf dishwasher. So are you wondering what kind of food each of them can eat? Dark green is best for…

Wash, drain, fill with one hand!

For washing and drying food and pasta. What I like best is the triangular shape and the comfortable grip. Pouring and scooping is much easier with this colander than with a round colander with two-pronged handles. The handle is a dream: I can just put my hand under the handle and pour the contents into the pot with one hand. No more trying to empty the big round strainer with both hands and the contents no longer fall out of the pot! The small colander is very handy for washing/draining small…
