This plastic welding tool performed exceptionally well in repairing automotive parts. It provided precise control and flexibility with the materials, resulting in a strong and durable bond. Had to be threaded to match my Harbor Freight Plastic Welder but now works great and I have a spare. They are better made than the original Harbor Freight tip.

I find these large tips very easy to use but the material will soften if the temperature gets too high. No matter how careful you are, the pressure you apply while welding will cause them to bend badly. If you bend them back, they'll break off after a few times. I was able to reduce this tendency by installing a 1/4-28 nut on the shank before inserting the tip into the iron.
