Poor workmanship on barbed wire

Both tees had holes in the back of each fitting. I'm assuming these were the pilot holes for the tee. I put one in the fuel line, turned on the fuel supply and it flowed out of the gas. Upon inspection of the second fitting, the back of the tee showed a hole the same size and location as the first. Good job, quality control. I wonder how many others have come up with the same error?

Pros
  • Brass for corrosion resistance, high temperature ductility and low magnetic permeability.
Cons
  • Can't remember

Works fairly well best in barbed fittings

These tees work great with Interstate Pneumatics F7326 brass ferrules and an Amflo 855 hose crimping tool. Pros: They are actually 3/8" OD and are a great match for my 3/8" ID rubber air hose. - The serrations are sharp enough to ensure a good seal with normal crimping. - I appreciate the fact that it doesn't have a square center piece (like the Anderson Metals 3/8" brass tee). It seems a bit more compact. Cons: None yet.

Pros
  • 3/8" Barbed fitting has three holes for connecting 3/8" ID hose.
Cons
  • No Auto

Removing heater hose leak from recess on LX 470 and LandCruisers

This hose is the brass tee I used on my Lexus LX 470 as it is a weak point in the design. The OEM plastic tees naturally began to leak and crack when handled. These Ts along with the permanent gear clamps did the trick in this deep surgery on the car's firewall. So far so good with no leaks. If there is a deviation from this initial assessment, I will report (after the action report).
