They work very well. I have one in my fridge, a fridge freezer and a chest freezer. They are designed to stand on a shelf or hang from a thin shelf. Mine seemed to get in the way when hanging so it just stood in the corner.

You really need them in your freezer and fridge to know what the temperature is where you store food. The dials are easy to read and show the desired temperature. They are sealed, you don't have to worry about damaging the thermometer.

All 4 have been tested for consistent accuracy among the 4 packages I have received. Only 1 differed by 2 degrees from the other 3, which matched exactly. I hung a few and put the rest on the shelves. Now I can keep my freezers, wine cellars and refrigerators at the confirmed right temperature.
