JSP Speaker Adapters Batwing Fairings Review

I took the cheaper option for my cross country win instead of paying for a precise winner fit. With a slight modification, they work upside down.

I bought larger speakers for my trip and these adapters did exactly what they were designed to do. They were very easy to install and did what they were designed to do. Goodbye

The brackets technically work, but the four outer screw holes where the speaker points are not aligned. I had to drill a new hole, no big deal but quality control failed. And some amenities would be nice.

Worked. I used them on an 07 electric glider. The only problem with them is that the 2 factory bolts are too long to reuse. I shortened them myself, but should probably be replaced with shorter screws. Otherwise there are no problems with them.

Fit was ok, had to sand down material on bottom outside edge to clear fairing, had to trim 2 long bolts to 1/2″ each I think you get what you pay for. There are no instructions or equipment so keep an eye out or buy better kit.

absolutely great. I know it's for Harley Davidson but not in my case. I am going to install them in my car to upgrade to a 6.5 inch speaker. They are well made, all the screw holes match up perfectly. I will enjoy them for years.

Easy to install once you figure out how. I thought almost the same thing about another person in these reviews. "Damn, these are too big for my new 6.5" speakers." Until I realized there are these half-holes/cutouts on the edge of the speaker cabinet. No holes, just grooves. Well, it doesn't look like it as it should be, but they hold up and fit perfectly with the holes in the adapters.

If you've got something on hand, this is a great way to upgrade your speakers. To mount the adapters to the fairing you will need to cut off the two 1" stock screws that hold the factory speakers in place. The third screw works without modifications. Then all you need is standard sheet metal screws (or whatever you have) to attach the new speakers to the adapters. I installed JBL GTO629 6.5" speakers in a 2008 FHLTC and couldn't be happier.
