I bought a new Surface laptop for work. I mainly work with spreadsheets, presentations, the web and email. boring things. The problem with a Surface laptop is that all ports are removed to make it small. This thing gave me my ports back! I needed it last week during a meeting for HDMI. It also has gigabit ethernet which would be great on my next trip. Most importantly, it looks like it fits perfectly into the interface, doesn't look like some crappy add-on or anything.

*UPDATE* I contacted them about this and they sent me a replacement unit. I had the same problem again but they sent me another (second) replacement unit for free! TO THAILAND! Although this hub is listed as suitable for the Surface 2 laptop, it is not. I have a photo and as you can see the USB port and headphone jack are the same. However, the miniport is not aligned. To get the correct version, you must order directly from Juiced. The matching one has the newer Juiced logo. This should not be related to the S2 laptop.

I was concerned that other reviewers said the old Juiced logo didn't fit Microsoft Surface Laptop 2. Needless to say, these reviewers weren't technically wrong, but they weren't correct or. It was perfect for my work laptop when I was doing maybe 25% printing. If I photograph this for a year I can see how it can break considering how super dense it is. Every little hiccup in the making of this product can make or break it. So it could have been a lottery, but I wasn't too concerned about that…

I really wanted this to work because I need an extra feature for my Microsoft Surface laptop. Unfortunately, I immediately noticed that the Logitech mouse is very slow and sometimes freezes. Also, when I use a different USB port to connect my Logitech headset, it gets worse. Then, with nothing else connected to the device, I tried using the HDMI port, but that didn't work either.

The Surface Laptop 2 is missing many key ports (like HDMI and Cat-5). This little box will bring them back. I mainly use it to connect to the HDMI port. For that it works very well. It would be nice if there was some sort of locking feature too - the Surface Notebook 2 doesn't have a decent way to secure it. We think this device could probably be redesigned to provide some sort of lock.

When I first got it it was perfect, it expanded the port availability. The packaging was nice and even included a tote bag. The problem is that it's so tight that plugging and unplugging the laptop actually pulls on the ports. I didn't notice this at first, but after 3 months my USB port started failing. Terrible Customer Service. Overall I really liked this product. Decent price, very stylish and goes great with a Surface laptop.
