JW Pet Company Activitoys Small Review

"Strength, thickness and durability" has nothing to do with it. The problem is that the bell is too close to the cage and the bird cannot ring it. He never used it. He is almost motionless, more of an ornament than a toy. It should keep hanging. As is usual with bird toys that use those wide plastic screws and plastic washers, you have to climb inside (and maybe drop a few times) the cage to set it up. I wish it was designed to hang lower so the bird could use it and the owner could adjust it…

Edit 11/16/2015 Okay I have to upgrade it to 4 stars. My parrot kept taking more and more. Still more of a whiff than a chime, but hey, who can understand a bird's mind. Original rating: 3 stars can be a bit harsh, it's more like 3 1/2 than 4. My parrot is really playing with this one. The main issue is that it's a bit small and the bell sounds tinny and not like a "must have" bell. The connection is easy; Balls hanging on the mechanism are firmly fixed. JW Pet Company Activitoy remains my favorite parrot toy company. All of her toys excite my kennel and he plays with them all the time! My parrot is obsessed with this bell. Before, he just sat quietly on his perch and didn't make much noise. He has become much happier and more active since I bought this for him. He loves to ring it, stick his head in it like a hat, talk to it, gnaw on it, take beads with its beak, sit on it and even swing on chains all day long. This toy is dangerous! Our parrot loved this toy. He was in her cage for several weeks. Just today, while I was standing next to her cage and watching her play, the chain caught on her lower beak. Its beak is shaped like the letter M at the bottom with a cutout in the middle. Not only did the chain snag on one side of her lower beak, it also buckled, making it tight and almost impossible to remove.
