🏻 Gravity Cap Garmin Mount by K-Edge Review

The small screws that hold the plastic bracket don't hold very well with a small allen wrench, they got rounded and I ended up breaking the plastic bracket.

This is Garmin's second cover mount installed on the second bike. There are 2 tiny screws, one of which is slightly bent entering the thread otherwise it would have given a higher rating.

I bought these for all my bikes. Love it. Solid feel and clicky and I don't have to worry about it falling off. I've used this on my DH bikes at the park and the Garmin didn't have a step. I've broken a lot of hanging plastic models but I don't think this one is going anywhere.

I ride 100% of the time with my Garmin bike computer (Edge 130). I mainly use it to track my kilometers and quickly check my cadence. I say that because this mount keeps your bike computer pretty far out of your line of sight, especially on a road bike. If you frequently need to access your bike computer while keeping an eye on the road, this mount probably isn't for you. Otherwise, this mount is very sharp and does its job perfectly. I have to say thank you to the guy who gave me this idea for my Garmin Varia. His photos will be published in another review. Basically works great. Even if the saddlebag bounces a little, the Varia picks up the motion immediately. A. The saddlebag is a medium sized Topeak Aero Wedge. This is a must have if you have a saddlebag and a Garmin Varia with a small bike frame (I ride a 52cm Trek Domane). You might spend $1.50 at the hardware store to install this K Edge expense pack.

I have purchased several of these units to mount the Garmin Varia radar on various bikes. On one bike, I attached it to the saddlebag with a bolt and washers (similar to another reviewer's). The other bike has a rack and I bolted it vertically. For another bike I used a flat metal bar to make a custom mounting point and mounted it vertically on it. Save valuable steering wheel space and feel confident. I didn't have to fiddle too much to get my bike computer working, which several other reviewers complained about. The base is metal and feels solid. The top bracket is plastic and my bike computer is tight, it doesn't look like it will come loose in normal use. The looks are a little ugly unless you put your bike computer on, but it was obvious. It would be a brilliant mod to add a prettier plastic cover on top that fits on the Garmin mount
