K Edge Handlebar Computer Garmin 31 8Mm Review

K-Edge products are literally bombproof and will easily survive a nuclear winter. Compared to other brands that are mainly made of plastic, they are made of high-quality aluminum and eventually become family heirlooms that are passed from generation to generation. These are the only brand mounts that I trust 100%.

Excellent functionality and reliability, but anodizing should be of the lowest quality. In less than 4 months the black turned to a cheap purplish brown. It looks cheap next to my 10 year old jet black new anodized Thompson stem. But I assume he's holding a computer. Improve your anodizing specifications. It's quite expensive, we need a quality finish.

As advertised. Holds my Garmin 520 securely, easy to install and adjust. It just works. The only downside is that (on a 520 Edge with launch and circle buttons on the bottom of the device) the circle and launch buttons are a bit difficult to access due to the stem faceplate, but that's probably true of any installed device. front and flush with the trunk. If you don't use the circle button often, this isn't a problem.

For some reason, while they claim to fit 31.8mm bars, they are too loose for the stock Bontrager Race, VR-C, 31.8mm bars on my 2016 Trek Emonda S5 . So I had to return the item. I don't understand why this size is advertised. If it had a rubber grommet or something it would probably work, but it's just bare aluminum. Even if I could tighten it, I don't see how it could stay in place with such a small contact area, especially at the top. I still gave it two stars because it seemed really sturdy…

If set up correctly this product will perform flawlessly. However, it is very disappointing that this is a 3 piece system with a nylon wedge compared to a 2 piece fully CNC machined system. I have two previous versions that were similarly priced and far superior in terms of build quality and ease of installation. As someone pointed out, if you're picky about your gear, go with the next higher price. I would rate this a 6.5 out of 10 (I'm not a fan of 5 stars) compared to the previous version…
