Works as described and does what it's supposed to do

This adapter does exactly what it's supposed to do and allows me to securely mount my Wahoo to my Garmin mount. I rode through a lot of bumps and bumps with no issues.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Speed

Breaks easily with GPS, finders and accessories

I've had a K-Edge mount with this insert on my mountain bike for about a year and a half now. I took a few light points and had to replace 3 of these inserts in that time. At least they're cheap.

Pros
  • Shipping was very quick
Cons
  • Upgradeable

works with Go Pro mount

Works great. I was worried it wouldn't be compatible with my Go Pro mount (because it's rotated 90 degrees compared to Garmin), but they now include shorter screws that allow you to mount both at the same time using the same holes.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Clearance about 1 mm

Acts like an advertisement. Comes with a shorter screw so you can use it with a combo mount. The only complaint I have is that my Wahoo doesn't fit in the insert. There is about 1mm of play. It doesn't bother me too much. I might try putting a piece of tape over the insert to see if that helps with a little slack.

Pros
  • Easy adjustment
Cons
  • Disappear

They're supposed to be broken.

I've been using these with a Gravity mount on my mountain bike for a while now. Solid through tons of abuse on the way down. I've had to replace a few over the years when I collapsed with a hit to the computer hard enough that ripped the insert apart. That's what they're here for. You want the $7 insert to break, not the mounts on your expensive bike computer. I keep stock on the shelf.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Plug required

Works great, exactly how it should work

If you are one of the many making the switch to Wahoo (by Garmin) you can reuse your existing K-Mounts for your Wahoo. Simply remove your existing Garmin compatible insert and replace with this insert. You can secure the screw with some Loctite if you wish, but this is not necessary. I have ridden these inserts many times with no problems. This is a very economical way to save on your investment in K-Edge mounts.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

run away Broke in the first month.

Instead of buying a brand new mount I figure why not just buy an insert to convert a Garmin K Edge mount to a Wahoo Elemnt mount. Cheaper right? Well cheap is a definite word. Not even worth the free prime shipping that came here. One day I noticed my Wahoo Elemnt was a little loose and lo and behold the plastic broke! How that came about, no idea, especially since this topic is not under stress at all! Bad bad quality!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
