Ford Edge Sport in Brake Kits

With 22" rims. Traditional rotors wear out very quickly. We've been told about power limiters that they let air through instead of heating up and deforming as quickly. So far, good.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...

So will have to update later, but works great!

Just installed about two hours ago so they fit, this is the first test. I only have the front ones. The sound of the left front brake squeaking disappeared. So will have to update later, but works great!

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Not sure

Check your rotor size

Bought these for my 2008 Ford Edge. 2 different sizes for this machine. Make sure you know if you need the 320mm (12.6") front or the smaller 295mm. Both fit this car perfectly. I received the wrong size, too big, and had to return it and Buy locally because I couldn't wait to get a replacement in the mail.I was impressed with the kit from what I saw.Maybe next time.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Minor issues

DTV or Warped Quickly

I spent a little more on pads and rotors which I thought were good quality (K3057). Unfortunately, after about 6 months and 2000 km, I got the typical brake pulsing. I installed the pads/discs myself. They were installed correctly. I can do a better job than most professional mechanics. The 60-day warranty has expired and the 36-month warranty specifically excludes Disc Thickness Variation (DTV) issues. The slotted design of these rotors should minimize this problem. โ€ฆ.very disappointed.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Quality

Very high quality! on Brake System

I usually buy mid-range pads and discs from my local auto parts store, but settled on the more expensive brakes. I installed them on my 2008 Silverado and then on a 2011 Ford Edge. The kit itself is great as it has replaceable stainless steel rails and some also replaceable rubber grommets. The parts fit perfectly and the pads fit on the rotors. Very high quality and excellent performance. Significantly quieter than standard brakes. At $200 they cost a little more than the mid-range ones Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to say

Put this kit on my 2010 Ford Edge and couldn't be happier. The local shop offered me about $800 for pads, rotors and installation so I saved a lot with this kit. If you have any technical knowledge, this is actually a very simple setup. With two people it took a little over an hour. I'd recommend looking up a tutorial video on YouTube if you've never done it before. There is a disruption in the production process of new pads and rotors that requires multiple trips and stops. So be sure to planโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Wrong clips?! - Replacement parts

I bought these for my wife's 2010 Ford Edge. I should have suspected something was wrong as I struggled to fit these pads to the clamps. Usually something is wrong when something is more complicated than it should be. I had to push the caliper hard against the mounting post to get the bolts lined up with the threads. As soon as I put the car on the street for the break-in procedure, I noticed a constant squeaking noise. Aggressive squeak method. So I came home to put all this stuff back intoโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some faults
