Probably the right size for a woman's hand. For a man, I had trouble getting my thumb in and out of the thumb hole. Very nice set of scissors. I will buy myself a 10" pair. Gifted to my wife.

They cut through multiple layers of quilted cotton and fleece like butter. It's so nice to use. I can't say enough good things about her. They do not hurt the area of the thumb of the left hand from the area of the handle and have a lot of weight. They're expensive, but they're worth it.
