Description of πŸ”Œ Kalevel 120pcs Breadboard Jumper Wires Kit - Male to Female, Male to Male, Female to Female Jumper Wires - Long 20cm Ribbon Cable (M-M, F-F, M-F)

Each cable length: about 20cm /8-inch. Including : 40-pin male to female jumper wires + 40-pin male to male cable + 40-pin female to female cable =120pcs in total. The male ends meant for insertion into standard 0.1"(2.54mm) female sockets and the female ends are meant for insertion onto standard 0.1"(2.54mm) male headers. They're great for layout work, but not great in my opinion.

As an electrical engineer, I was looking for a quick and easy way to connect pins for development. They're great for layout work, but not much more in my opinion. As far as the pins connect for the prototype, they work fine, but often fall apart due to loose connections. The heads also come off easily, causing many of them to break as well. Fine for a small project, but as far as daisy chains and permanent connections go, I'd suggest a wire wrap or other connector.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Slightly Cracked

There are enough flowers to choose the ones I liked the most.

I'm not sure what they are for, but I used them to make a reset switch in a computer case that didn't have one. I could do it with a ton of spare cables. I have the switch in a separate location on the back of the very small Antec ISK 100 case. There are enough colors to choose the ones I like best.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Useless functions

Just what I needed at a great price

The wires are connected together and can easily be separated if desired. The clamps are strong and not made out of cheap material. Definitely a great buy.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Crumpled

Terrible quality. for computers and accessories

no. Only not. The package had just been taken out and more than half the cables were of poor quality and had breaks near one or more connector terminals. I have already blacklisted this product and this seller. I have no intention of repeating the same mistake twice.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Difficult to remember, but it was

All combinations: computer components

A set of three different connector types is very practical. I have boards with pins and connectors and this jumper set provides connections for all combinations. Each set of 40 wires has wires connected with insulation so each is like a 40 wire ribbon cable. However, I have to use them individually, but it's very easy to pull individual wires out of the group when needed.

Pros
  • sparkling
Cons
  • infinitely slow

Defective and poor quality

They seemed like a great deal but when I used them I found that most of them were unreliable or defective. Most connectors are too loose and don't make a good connection, I had to throw away a ton before I found any good ones. There may also be internal issues with some wires. I ran continuity tests and some of them failed. After all, they took me a lot of time to fix bugs. Spend more and get better quality.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • For old

I bought these because I wanted to use a chip that is not breadboard compatible (ESP8266 and others) with my breadboard. Instead of building a breakout board, I now just use female-to-male cables: the IC pins go into the female connector, and I can place the male connector anywhere on the breadboard. What I like most about these cables is that they are reattached ribbon cables. You can clean them to use individually or leave them tied together for convenience. For example I used a connected…

Great for college labs that contain breadboards and schematics

Will use this for my digital logic and circuit analysis class. This was much more convenient to use than using the pre-made sets the school offered as they weren't always a suitable length (or had to be shared with friends as they didn't have enough cords for some experiments). If you plan on taking electronics courses that involve the use of breadboards, you should probably get one to save time and avoid frustration. Note that there are three different types of cables. You'll be using mostly…

Can't solder

I bought a bunch of these a few years ago and whenever I've used them as jumpers they've been ok. A few days ago when I cut the wires and tried to solder the cut end to the board I found that the wire was aluminum with a very thin copper coating. I looked at it under the microscope. The copper plating is oxidized and dark in color. When I peel off the oxidized coating, shiny aluminum is revealed underneath. It is impossible to solder this material and get a good connection. I'll see if I can…
