Description of ☕ Kalita Wave Paper Coffee Filters 185 - 100 Count | Specially Designed Pour Over Dripper | Made in Japan

PULLS THE PERFECT CUP: The pantented wave design reduces contact between the brewing space and the filter itself for a more balanced extraction and a flavorful, full-bodied cup of coffee every time. The design of the filters work in perfect harmony with Kalita Wave drippers to create a pool of water on top of the coffee bed that can help control agitation, helping maintain a uniform extraction without too much turbulation (which could lead to over extraction). PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS AND PROFESSIONALS: You'll find the Kalita Wave pour over coffee filters used in the world's top specialty cafes and professional coffee-making competitions. But they are also the perfect filters for pour-over beginners. Cone filters require perfect grinds and pouring technique in order to prevent stalling and over-extraction. The wave filter's flat bottom, on the other hand, maintains a wide and even coffee bed, allowing water to permeate and leave the filter evenly. PREMIUM CONSTRUCTION: Made in Japan out premium thick paper stock. Our Kalita Wave 185 filters are oxygen bleached for environmental sustainability and to maintain your coffee's perfect balanced taste. SPECIALLY MADE FOR KALITA WAVE POUR-OVER DRIPPERS: For best results use your Kalita Wave filters with the same size Kalita Wave dripper in either glass, ceramic or stainless steel. SATISFACTION : Kalita is a family-owned Japanese compaany that adheres to the highest standards of manufacturing excellence. Contact us with any problems and we will make things right.

Great Filters - Coffee Filter

(I use them with Kalita Wave 185 Ceramic and rinse with hot water before use.) The filters work great. No aftertaste, good taste. I highly recommend you buy these if you have Wave. They're a bit pricey, but they're worth it because they fit perfectly. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that it's quite difficult to separate them, so you have to be careful not to destroy the waves on the filter.

Pros
  • SATISFACTION: Kalita is a Japanese family business that adheres to the highest standards of manufacturing quality. Contact us with any problems and we will fix everything.
Cons
  • Functionality

Nice, but should I buy this brand?

Nice, but do you have to buy this brand? I bought these as a featured free item for the Kalita Wave 185 drippers, thinking they were made to take advantage of the unique dripper shape. Bleached drip filters for small coffee. Having read that a brown unbleached filter is better, once my supply of this product runs out I will try the inexpensive store-bought unbleached coffee drip filters available wholesale in the coffee section of my local grocery store and see how they work with my kalita wave

Pros
  • IDEAL FOR BEGINNERS AND PROFESSIONALS: Kalita Wave coffee pour filters are used in the world's top specialty coffee shops and professional coffee brewing competitions. But they are also ideal filters for beginners. Cone filters require the perfect grinding and potting technique to avoid stagnation and over-extraction. On the other hand, the flat bottom of the wave filter maintains a wide and even bed of coffee, allowing water to enter and exit the filter evenly.
Cons
  • Difficult to say

In search of the elusive Kalita

I will say that not only do I have to wait almost two weeks for these filters, they are essential to the Kalita wave. And it is very pleasant that they do not leave an aftertaste, whether you wash the filter or not. Just make sure you grind coarser than Chemex. It will look like a cake when the broth is ready. I usually strain my fine, this makes a really fruity cup depending on the beans you have and freshness.

Pros
  • Coffee and espresso machine parts and accessories
Cons
  • flimsy

Pre-rinse recommended

Wish it was cheaper. Unlike the Kalita 102 filter, this paper is known for its strong odor. The same applies to this waste water, so pre-rinsing is very important for this filter. Apart from that it works fine. You can substitute this with Melitta coffeemaker paper, which you can find at the 99-cent store, but the thickness varies enough that the result is, if you're wondering.

Pros
  • Coffee Maker Accessory
Cons
  • Not sure

Nice, but should I buy this brand?

Nice but necessary to buy this brand? They appear to be bleached drip coffee filters in a small size. Having read that a brown unbleached filter is better, once my supply of this product runs out I will try to inexpensively purchase a store-bought unbleached coffee filter that is sold in bulk at my local grocery store. Store coffee section and see how they work with my Kalita Wave 185 Dripper.

Pros
  • Spare parts and accessories for small appliances
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
