A durable boot with a comfortable feel. Continuous

We have four children and only buy this brand. This is the 4th set and the 1st set is still in use and in good condition. Fits as expected and the velcro closure plus elastic allows for easy on and off and a flexible fit. In short, we love it.

Pros
  • My son loves these snowshoes!!
Cons
  • The Kamik 5 is the same size as the Sorel size 4 we have now. You are too small; Size 4.25 does not fit my son.

No real cones! in my rating

Wide so narrow. Don't buy if you want true breadth. After doing a little research, we found that there are testimonials on other websites that claim to have contacted Kamik about this. These reviews state that Kamik says they consider all their boots wide. There is no mention of "wide" anywhere on the shoe or insert. Our LO screamed when we tried to disable them. Couldn't even get the shoes on halfway so we tried on a few sizes up. However, the tundras we ordered ran flawlessly.

Pros
  • My son wears a size 3 shoe and bought a size 4 shoe. He said that the area of the fingers is too small.
Cons
  • Boots can be too heavy for toddlers to walk comfortably in.

Order 1 size larger! the best in my rating

My son has had similar boots in the past so this year I ordered the next size up. My son still wears 3.5 shoes so I ordered 4. The fit is the same as his old 3. So I re-ordered 5 and they are perfect. Kamik makes a great product; they're just not the right size.

Pros
  • Take perfect care and keep the winter in Alaska
Cons
  • Boots may not be warm enough for very cold temperatures.

Bought for my 3 year old son who is a size 8. Had trouble getting his feet in and he screamed and stomped until I took them off. He said they hurt and he's not usually picky about his feet. The felt insert does not fully meet the front of the boot, causing a portion of the inside of the unfinished boot to touch the foot. Right where the rubber foot meets the canvas upper, there is a rubber seam that extends quite a bit into the boot's interior - right at the level of the foot crease to the…

Pros
  • Removable Zylex pad 8mm (97% recycled)
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I can't put them on my baby :(

My husband, toddler and I have all tried several times to put these boots on my toddler's feet to no avail. It's like his foot can't move from one part from the foot to part of the boot. They are cute and warm when I carry them on my arm but I just can't put them on a toddler which makes them pretty much useless. Those who can help put them on may have not a problem but for our 2-2.5 year olds these boots are too hard I'm very disappointed but I don't know if it's useless - still my child's age…

Lining not wearable

My daughter has been wearing Kamik boots (snow bug style) for two winters and when I saw these boots on sale in August I jumped at them immediately. I compared the size to her current shoes, concluded it was the right size for growing into winter and removed them without showing her so she wouldn't want to wear them until the end of summer. behind me because I was so prepared for winter, but when I took the boot out of the closet in December we found that the balaclava was sewn so oddly and…
