🔒 Kanguru Solutions 32GB Write-Protect USB 3.0 SS3 Flash Drive (KF3WP-32G) Review

It is very difficult to find a flash drive with a hardware write-protect switch. When you connect to public or questionable PCs, it's nice to have a little extra protection to prevent data from being written to your drive without your knowledge.

I work in computer repair and needed a read-only USB drive to store my tools that could be protected from being plugged into an infected computer. was very close to SSD in read speed. In my use case, it's worth it.

Not much to say but the USB write protect switch is a great way to protect your data from malware and the transfer speed is great. Perhaps the only downside is that it gets hot at times, but that's understandable.

Good speed and a great anti-malware and anti-virus tool if you work as a technician. Just flip the switch and you can plug in your drive without worrying about infection. I work in IT workstation support so I wear it all day, use it on different computers and have had no problems with it. The write protect switch is very important as I don't worry about a virus writing to the hard drive which means I don't have to worry about my computer when I get to the office either. Now when I plug it in, the drive shows up as a "2301 Boot ROM" device, suggesting that the controller is unable to communicate with the flash. I like the form factor but it could be shorter.
