Great helmet - 60 mile visibility

So far so good with this Kask helmet. It is lightweight, 2-way adjustable and protects your eyes from the sun. I wear a bandana on my head and the helmet still fits well with no hot spots. Ventilation is still fine in hot Arizona. I've only used this helmet 60 miles on my touring bike. As for the "date of birth" of helmets, always ask before you buy. This one, bought new, has a "6-18" sticker on it so it was 1 year old when I got it.

Pros
  • Lightweight comfort - only 270g, uses CoolMax padding and synthetic leather chin strap

Where the side straps meet in a Y-shape, they sit over the underside of the earlobes, pinching and chafing as you ride. Yes, this helmet is designed to protect the forehead, but the worst thing is that no matter what adjustment you make, what sports band you use or don't wear, or how you hold your head, the helmet just ends up fitting. Cheap quality and poor design

I had problems with this helmet from the start. Aside from two replacement caps that came in the wrong color, the third one that arrived looked like a cheap cap. The labels are already peeling off at the edges, so they disappear within a few days in such a humid environment. The rear adjustment, which looks like a zip tie, moves a lot, and when I hit the curb the front of the helmet hit my goggles hard, causing severe pain in my nose. I don't know if it was a faulty device but I'm done withโ€ฆ
