This bag is not leather, it is made of synthetic material and is of such low quality that it is best for dollar stores. I bought this bag after reading all the information about the size, material, etc. Now that it's arrived, I felt it was a complete misrepresentation. I really like this bag. It's elegant and minimalist. The shoulder straps are long enough to be worn over the shoulder without being too tight or uncomfortably long. They are also sewn firmly to the bottom of the bag and secured to the top with a metal button/bolt/hairpin (see image) to keep these straps from snapping easily.
