Quality Key Fob Case: Interior

This is a good replacement for the factory key fob for my truck but I'm wondering what Ram was thinking about putting the panic button on the bottom of the key.

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • interval

Poor quality Anti-theft

After my first check I started having problems with it. Contact points no longer touch the remote control. I have to keep clicking the buttons in different places to make them work.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Wasted time/money, poor quality.

Does not have graphite finish on contacts like the original. Worked two days with breaks and never again. Two were obtained and both failed in less than 48 hours. Accurate enough to avoid hitting a return window. waste of time and money.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Great price

Better look elsewhere

Keychain fits but is too thick. The alarm is triggered when the ignition is switched on. I had to cut off the backing of the rubber and reattach the small metal pin. The rest is a bit thick, making the keychain body look like it's about to burst open.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Is OK

Works great as advertised. High quality. If you're trying to fix a non-working remote, I recommend removing the metal contact washers from the rubber and attaching them to the actual remote control board. There are many videos on YouTube showing how to do this. You could probably do this with your old remote and not buy any at all.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works well on 2013 Ram 1500 Big Horn

Satisfied so far, this replacement rubber keypad works on all buttons - Panic, Lock, Unlock and Remote Start. Does the question persist? I don't know, but I'll update if it's not. Currently 5 stars. I'm glad I saved money by buying a complete remote and paying $70-$100 to have a local locksmith program it. The dealer charged $280 to get a whole new RAM remote through them - couldn't go fast enough. Luckily I didn't have an issue with the panic button being too high and clicking/activating when…

Pros
  • Easy Setup
Cons
  • Don't Remind Me

Panic button pressed when key is in ignition, some adjustment needed

Material between metal button and rubber buttons needs to be removed to prevent panic button being pressed when key is in ignition. It's really easy, all you need is tweezers, a razor blade and some thick CA. You need to remove and scrape the rubber from the metal panic button. Scrape off the excess rubber from the button and glue the metal button to the rubber button. I put before and after pictures in the photo. This is a really easy task and can save you a lot of money as these dealer keys…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Nothing here
