Description of πŸ”§ KAX 3/8-Inch Drive, 7/8-Inch (22 mm) Offset Oxygen Sensor Socket: Easy O2 Sensor Removal & Installation, Wire Gate Access for Side Entry, Prevents Wire Damage, Fits All Vehicles

Easy to install and remove: The slotted design of the offset oxygen sensor socket allows the oxygen sensor to be removed or installed while the wiring harness is connected, which provides additional leverage and can be easily removed even in hard-to-reach places. High quality: The oxygen sensor socket is made of high-quality manganese steel, which allows the user to apply the maximum torque. At the same time, precision casting can ensure the strength and precision needed for installing and removing. The tool meets and exceeds ANSI/ASME standards. Universal size: The universal 7/8 inch (22 mm) hexagon is suitable for almost all oxygen sensors. Even if you have no operating experience, it can help you remove or install oxygen sensors reliably and efficiently. High efficiency: The KAX oxygen sensor socket is used with any 3/8 inch drive ratchet. The offset oxygen sensor socket accesses the sensor with wires from the side instead of the top, thereby preventing damage to the wires. A high-quality oxygen sensor socket can save you time!. Buy with confidence: KAX is committed to the concept of customer first. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact our support team and they will immediately resolve any issues you encounter.

KAX 3/8 " drive, 7/8 " (22mm) offset oxygen sensor socket

Worked great! I used that first then I used a regular oxygen sensor slotted head to remove it that way it's easier. The offset interferes with the rotation. I also used a non-repellent spray and hit the sensor twice in 8 hours for it to come off easily and that's what happened.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I'll keep quiet

DO NOT BUY! Cheap junk!

Do not buy! I don't know where the good reviews are coming from, but this is not a very good tool! The product says it fits a β…œ ratchet, but it doesn't! The way the square is stamped has bubbles inside so you can't put a ratchet in it. Overall it's carved oddly and you can tell it's very poor craftsmanship. Spend a few bucks more for a quality tool.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Hard to say

THE JOB CANNOT BE PERFORMED WITHOUT THIS TOOL.

I wanted to replace the O2 sensor on my 35-year-old pickup. This tool worked GREAT. I ran the engine for half an hour to warm it up, sprayed copious amounts of WD40 and used a foot length pipe tool on the ratchet handle to get it to turn about 1/8th of a turn. I wiggled the sensor back and forth a few times and then sprayed more WD40. I left it on for about an hour, then put the tool back on and it came out right away. Very good quality tool.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not everything fits

The O2 socket worked well in 2001 near Moscow

I was a bit concerned because of some complaints about the socket separating when removing stuck 02 sensors. My application worked well with a 3/8 inch pry bar. I have a 2001 Suburb with 320,000 miles on it. The socket allows the breaker to be used at different angles. You have to be patient as the O2 passenger (sensor 1) had a hard time finding the right angle to have enough clearance/lever to remove. I finally got it. This is only the second time I have replaced sensors in the life of the…

Pros
  • . An absolute legend
Cons
  • Almost never

Doesn't fit 3/8 ratchet

Thought my O2 sensors on my 2006 Chevy Silverado were a problem because everything I've read about them has been withdrawn. No they just came, I used a regular 7/8 wrench on 3 out of 4. The only thing I needed this head for wasn't that difficult to get to, the only problem I had throughout the process was that the 3/8" platter on this socket was too small! It was 100 out and I was struggling with my ratchet to find the right combination of extensions for what I needed. I ran a small file into…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Low repairability
