Cheap and poorly made

Through trial and error, I found that this habitat is not worth the money. The plastic is flimsy and cracks easily. The tubes are too small for my hamster to move freely. The only advantage is the size, but that doesn't make up for the poor craftsmanship.

Happy hamsters! However, buy additional tubes!

I bought this to attach to our single story Crittertrail Habitat. I love the habitats and most of all I love our 3 dwarf hamsters. They are easy to assemble and easy to clean. The tubes are a bit tricky to dry inside, but some clever maneuvers with rolled paper towels solved the problem. My ONLY criticism of these habitats is that nowhere does it say that additional pipes are needed to connect the two habitats. Since this information isn't in the instructions or on the Kaytee website, I assumed

Decent living space but REALLY hard to build

Wow no one has exaggerated how hard this is to put together! Luckily, I read a lot of reviews and watched a few YouTube videos, so I knew I had to plan a lot of time to finish it. It took a full 1.5 hours and I was very nervous that I would break some of the parts as they are hard plastic. In fact, I could crack the bottom compartment (or maybe it happened and I didn't realize it), but it's not harmful. The problem is that no hamster/small rodent cage has good reviews. none!
