Good product is better than the fish option

Seems to help reduce the build up of bacteria and algae in the humidifier. It's not 100% effective, but it definitely helps. There is a similar product from Protec in the shape of a fish. I didn't like it at all as it floats too much as you change the position of the tank and over time tends to exhaust (don't know the term) and limits the fogging effect. This sinks very well and doesn't seem to drift after installation. I definitely prefer this variant.

Works great in an ultrasonic humidifier

It really worked - better than I expected. I always use an ultrasonic humidifier in the bedroom during the dry winter months. I use regular tap water and I got horrible pink goo on the parts of my humidifier. This product has practically eliminated the problem! I just put it straight into the humidifier's tank and... . . . the task is solved. It's been in use for over a month now - not sure how long the effects will last before I need a replacement but you can bet I will be buying aโ€ฆ

Easy to use - humidifier parts and accessories

This winter our heater was on 24/7, causing redness on our skin and in our nostrils. I also had a humidifier running the entire time. I'm extremely sensitive to irritants like mold or mildew, so I wanted to make sure my humidifier didn't contain any allergens. I clean it regularly but thought it might help me between cleanings. It was very easy to use and I just dropped it into my humidifier reservoir and refilled it as usual. It's small and has worked well so far. I will say that sometimes itโ€ฆ

Less efficient Good for accessories

This product does not work, at least not well. I bought two Honeywell HCM350 humidifiers. I have used this product in one and Essick Air 1970 in another. After one month of use, this product resulted in a 50 percent deterioration in filter condition (discoloration and hardening), while Essick Air 1970 resulted in a 25 percent deterioration in filter condition. To be honest I haven't compared this product to regular untreated water. so maybe there is an advantage. In addition, it is much easierโ€ฆ

An affordable way to keep your humidifier water and filter cleaner for longer

I love this product. The problem with most humidifiers is the high bacterial growth in the water. This can be identified by the musty smell in the air from dirty and contaminated water in the pan and tank. Pure vapor is odorless. I'm making this review based on a specific humidifier I have, a Honeywell model HCM 630. I live in an overheated New York City apartment during the cold months. My husbands and I had lots of runny noses, dry coughs, dry skin, and nosebleeds from hot dry air, so Iโ€ฆ
