I didn't like this filter it smelled like cat urine and we never had a cat and the bad thing is we bought 2 because it was such a good deal NO! Back to the original Sharp filter. It takes much longer and is worth the extra cost

Had the same problem as another reviewer. After about two months of infrequent use, and even after thorough cleaning, the thing stinks of a strong chemical smell, like cat pee. The smell doesn't go away either and I had to throw it away. Huge waste of money.

Used for 1 week and my sharp kcu850 was giving off a musty smell. I thought it was coming from the humidifier's internal fan, so I took the whole unit apart and cleaned it, but it still smelled like mold. I checked the filter and there was 1 spot where the smell was coming from.

Fits like the original, seems to work like the original. I've noticed an odor that others have after some use, but I've found that it only occurs when I leave the humidifier on and the system has run out of water, causing the filter to stop spinning and stagnant Water at the base causes that musty smell (my theory of what's happening). When the second unit needed a replacement filter, I went with the Revain's Nispira filter because it was a beautiful shade of blue. What a mistake it was to fool my fetta!
