Short Life Switches and Relays

The relay quickly switches power no matter where you run your wiring. I have had to replace two on my setup 3 times in the last 7 years. I literally get about 2 1/2 years off it. But everything is fine at work.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

This relay was used to replace the original. I use it for my headlights on a car that turn off the low beam when the high beam is on. This relay bypasses this setting and allows all four lights to remain on when high beam is active and return to normal when only low beam is required.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not bad

KC Hilites Relay Replacement Parts

This KC relay is the only one that can be used when two or more off road lights are on. It features circuitry for driving two 100W lights simultaneously. It is wired so that two #87 pins fire at the same time. Other relays only have a #87 contact when triggered. I am using 3 KC relays to control 5100w streetlights on my '79 F250 monster truck. Get it right the first time.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Low maintenance

SEALED! Yes! for relay

That's GOOD. It's also sealed! I had a problem with my original KC relays, they were NOT sealed and were badly corroded (installed under the hood of a jeep. They didn't last 3 years. However, THEY are remanufactured. I want to know why KC uses the patented relay design in first I didn't pay much attention to the wiring diagram at first and tried to replace them with standard relays I was very happy.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Bad quality branded relay and 23 year guarantee

Bought because of the KC brand name and the so called 23 year guarantee. The relay does not withstand the specified power. The reason I can say this is because I've tried at least 4 KC 3300 relays over the last 4 years that are way below the advertised rating and worse the bulbs aren't used that much at all. Finally, after examining and removing the cover from the relay, the wires can of course handle the power, but with the relay's tiny components anyone can clearly see that even inside the…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine
