    The strap does not reach the foot

    I ordered a half size up based on previous reviews that the strap didn't go all the way. My daughter usually wears a size 11 so I ordered a regular size 11.5 (not wide) as she has a narrow and thin foot! I was surprised that the strap barely reached the Velcro. In any case, I would recommend going for a wide one so the strap can reach further. The belt disappointed me. I am keeping them as I needed white shoes for her preschool prom and she will probably wear them one day but will definitely…

    The strap is too short. Save yourself the headache.

    These shoes were recommended to me by my daughter's school. The shoes fit perfectly, but she ran out of them all day. When she received them, her teacher said never send them in again. The straps were too short and they didn't hold onto the feet. Then they told me that they had the same problem with this shoe before.

    I don't know how I didn't see in all the reviews that the strap is too short. My daughter's feet are not wide at all and they are hardly closed. other than that they seemed really good so that's disappointing!

    Appearance was great but the strap wasn't

    The velcro on the strap was a tiny slip that was inconvenient to use. The strap had to be velcroed to keep it closed. Otherwise the strap was useless and my child just walked out of the shoe.

    Very uncomfortably good for me

    Both daughters complained of discomfort and came home with blisters. I bought the right size, but the shoes are too narrow and tight in some places on the foot. would not recommend

    Pink was a waste of money

    I've bought this type of shoe before with good results, but the pink version is already wearing out and gets dirty very easily. It hasn't even been a month and they look rough.

    Nice shoes but the strap to fasten them is too short. My daughter has a normal foot width and the strap does not close completely.

    The strap is very short!

    I love these shoes. They are very well made and comfortable but I don't like that the strap is very very short. I add velcro so I can adjust the strap to fit my daughter's leg. For this reason I give 3 stars.

    I ignored the "stripe problem" even though I have wide shoes. Very short and the pair squeezes my daughter's leg. I tried to give the product another chance by buying another pair in a larger size but it was very difficult.

    The best school shoes in my rating.

    These were the best uniform shoes for my daughter. She's been wearing them every day for a week since she started school. They have never been worn and still look good! The only thing starting to look worn is the flowers on the strap. She was only wearing navy blue and I just bought the white ones to wear with my regular clothes so can't comment on how well they hold up! My daughter is 11 but I got up at 12 to give her room to grow. The way they're designed, they don't slip, so that's a plus…

    The size is insanely good for me

    These Keds Mary Janes are such an odd size. I tried 3 different pairs and none fit and their size chart is so hard to understand. I tried measuring the child's foot and the child's shoes that fit and matched the size chart and when I actually found a pair that was for her length the sock was too tight for her foot. I just gave up.

    Cute sneakers my pros and cons

    They are very cute and fit my granddaughter well. She has narrow feet. Velcro does not fit or is too short. The velcro strap barely reaches the attachment point. They work for us but if your child has wide feet I don't know if they would work.

    Are these really real boots?

    Completely falls apart in less than a month of wearing! My daughter had the exact same shoes last year for school which lasted until earlier this year, the only difference is that last year I bought them from a poinsettia in New Orleans, this year I bought them on Ebay. I want to return my money but "the return window is closed"

    This shoe would be great if it weren't for a very important issue - the strap is too short to be functional. The shoes fit my daughter's foot very well but we had to send them back because the strap was too short to stay closed. We got the Keds Daphne T-Strap style instead and it has worked much better on my two daughters. Too bad too, because I prefer Mary Ella's style.

    I liked that they are easy to wash but be careful with the bleach as one boot turned a little yellow until I washed it 3 times with water. It will then turn white again and also bring it out into the sun so that it regains its white color.

    These shoes are almost perfect. I bought them twice for my daughter but both times I was disappointed with the width. Most of the time she can wear normal shoes, but even the wide width in them seems too narrow. The strap is difficult to fully close, so instead it closes halfway with velcro (which looks odd) and often swings open, which frustrates my daughter.
