Keep Your Pool Warm: Sun2Solar 12X18 Clear Oval Solar Cover 1600 Series Review

Im still trying to find the perfect solar cover. Brand is important. mil thickness is important. price is important. Take notes cause you forget. Which one lost all its bubbles in the pool and plugs the catch basket? It was expensive but a bad brand. Another expensive one had one of the 3 fused strips that sunk into the pool it was a heavy mil and expensive. Cheap one lasted one season and weather checked and sunk. GL share what you learn but remember which one it was.

It takes awhile to warm water with sun shining on it but once water gets warm it does retain the heat well. After 1st summer seasons use, product was cleaned and dried, folded carefully and stored inside garage away from heat or extreme cold. For the 2nd summer season it seemed in good shape when we put on pool, however before the summer was over, ( 1 1/2 months at most) it was disintegrating everywhere! Little blue bubble pieces floating around in the water and all in our filter. So it did not

Can only rate based on what I see from delivery in box as its not quite time to use this on our pool yet. I'm expecting this to much better than the cheapo one that came with our pool package. Will update once we use it :)

We need a cover that would fit our unusual shaped pool. Had to do just a little cutting with this oval size. So far we like it. Easy to cut into shape.

Had this for 4 months and it’s fallen apart, material obviously is extremely poor qualityMy last 2 solar covers lasted 4 and 3 seasonsWhen I contact the seller and inquire about the 7 year limited warranty they said it only covers seam separationShould have stated that or not indicate the warranty in the advertising,very misleading

Definitely worth the money. Arrived in good condition. Not a lot of fall off from bubbles like others I had. The cover may not be as durable as more expensive options on the market.

I cut out the shape of my pool using the old cover and had no problems with cutting the new one. I was pleased with the product. Time will tell how long it last, but as of right now it was worth the price I paid.

The solar cover arrived very quickly, it is very thick, makes a big difference in warming the pool water. I love it. Thanks for attention!

Definitely works to help keep the pool warmer than not having it. A little difficult to put on and take off by yourself on an above ground pool, but can be done. Easier with two.

The product is of very high quality and appears it will be long lasting. If is hard to judge how effective the cover is because I have nothing to compare it to regarding pool temperature gain, beyond that, I would recommend this product.

This pool cover doesn't float very well, when water gets on top of it. It seems the bubbles are not full of air.Pool cover is not oval, but this cover has lasted longer than a lot of other covers.

So far I have no complaints. It for our pool perfectly without any adjustments. So i can’t tell you how well it cuts or trims. It maintains the heated temp of our pool on stormy days. I no longer use out to heat the pool since we had a heater installed, but it did bring up the temp a bit. I like to swim in really warm water, so not enough for me at the beginning and end of the season. Easy to maneuver with the reel we purchased ( also from Revain). Worth the money so far.

Cover only last one season. Bubbles start to break open leaving 100"s of tiny plastic particles in your pool and filter. Cover rips easily, especially after being in sun after a couple of months. Warranty only covers separation of plastic layers. Which is basically saying there is no warranty.Cover does heat pool about 10 degrees.

Regular pool covers just won't cut it after owning this solar pool cover, everything else is obsolete. This not only will keep your pool clean & fresh looking, it will keep your water temperature up & pool water evaporation down. I recommend this to anyone who owns a pool.

Solar cover works ok. I would’ve preferred a thicker one, but this one was ok for the money. Time will tell how long it lasts.

It seems to be a good quality pool cover. Happy with the product. It is a bit larger than 12 x 24, not an issue easy to trim to fit.

This cover is great. It is strong enough that it won't tear and have to be replaced every season the way that the cheaper ones do. I'm very happy with it. It is worth the extra cost. Usually we would have a couple of small tears by now and there are none.

This is the first aftermarket solar cover I have purchased. My original cover only lasted 2 seasons which I feel is ridiculous. I’m hoping this one, which is claimed to last 7 seasons, lasts longer. It is much heavier than the original so I’m hopeful. I have a saltwater pool and do not know if this impacts the lifespan in either direction.….2 years in and the solar cover is literally falling apart putting all of the little round pieces of plastic into my pool…and filter! I bought the heavy duty

Love this solar cover. Added warmth to my pool to get it where I could enjoy my pool earlier in the year. Easy to trim to custom size. Thick, good quality. I researched several of these products and I believe the clear cover definitely allowed the sun to penetrate to the bottom of my pool, as it didn't just warm up on the top layer of water.
