I bought them to quickly connect the solar panel to the charge controller. I used a soldering iron instead of a crimping tool. The connector seems solid and I haven't had any issues since installing it. This is a good set of connectors for the price; I would buy again.

Some of these were bought in 2 separate orders and those from the first don't fit in the second because they changed the design and put a barrier in the middle. Ordering everything you need in one go probably won't be a problem if you just want to hook up your stuff.

Excellent connections. Only criticism is that the cases don't like to stick, they fall off easily. Although I don't think about it. The connections work as they should. I ended up soldering the wires and these things are not going anywhere. I used 60/40 electronics solder and a flashlight.

This is exactly what I was looking for to add a quick connect connector to my motorcycle battery. I believe the wire on my bike is 8-AWG and I was able to easily crimp it with cheap wire strippers/pliers. However, be careful how you insert the crimped end into the plastic connector; It has a tab that should snap onto a metal tab inside the connector when fully inserted.

After verifying correct installation and realizing that the connectors were not making contact, I had to carefully pry the tabs to connect them. Now I'm paranoid that over time they will lose touch. If they had contacted me I would have given this item five stars. I have just ordered another pair and specifically ordered the same item so they could be used interchangeably only to find that they are so different they don't match.

I bought this unit hoping it would be compatible with another Quick Connect setup that looked identical (which was no longer available). In my case it didn't match, the connectors were slightly different and wouldn't connect. But whatever it is, the connections are solid, the boots look high quality and shouldn't degrade or fall off.
