Premium Rattan Nest Bird Swing Toy with Bells for a Variety of Parrot Species in Various Cage Perches Review

It was a really cute toy but the bells are a choking hazard, the clamps are a beak and tongue hazard and it has such poor balancing that it topples over like a hammock. My bird nearly lost his toe when he rolled over and his nail got stuck in the nest material. Great idea but the design and materials require some work to be bird proof.

I took the large one as my pigeon seems to like the short side boxes that I put in her cage - I thought the more it looks like a nest, the more attractive it will be. At night she retreats to her hanging nest at the top of the cage where there is a blanket. Nice and safe, although although it's large I don't see a larger bird that feels comfortable in it. The bottom of the pouch it was in was quite dirty, but nothing made the nest any less solid.

I bought this product and found it to be good. In a cage for about a month. Thought it would be good for a bird. settled in his beak. It took my wife and I almost an hour to figure it out. Contacted Amazon, they returned the money but I believe the reason for the refund is covered in sugar. They can be damaged during or in connection with transport. So when you buy this product, please check BLUE BELL before you put it in the cage. I wouldn't give any stars but I have to!

I really wanted to like this nest swing. However, unlike natural nests, which are made of pieces joined together, this nest is made of long pieces joined together, making it a toe hazard for birds of the parakeet's size and above. This may be normal for small birds, but experience tells me no, this is not a good idea. Parrots get into weird situations when you're not looking! lol Good idea, bad execution. The nest itself is very hard and prickly and my budgies don't even like sitting on the edge. They tested it on the bluebells and flowers but they don't sit in the nest and now they don't even stand on the edge to play with the bluebells. They usually like anything that has this nest shape, as some of them sleep in 1/2 coconut nests hung this way. But they are smooth on the inside and have smooth edges. I was just reading other reviews before leaving this one. Someone mentioned dust. I have no dust. The nest also doesn't just fall apart when you touch it. If it's not balanced, just move the rings that attach it to the nest until it's upside down (also adjust the distance you attach it to the top of the cage).
