ez for customization. Good range I would buy again.

Works well. For the price, it meets the desired performance requirements. The setup is well documented online with many YouTube videos of "ESP32CAM". The KeeYees website provided detailed instructions (in English. PDF) after I registered as a user and logged in. PS: I bought 2 more.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not the best

Works but documentation

It took me a while to figure out the camera but I asked the seller for documentation and it worked. I used the Arduino IDE to program it using "ESP32Wrover Module" for the board item + "Huge Application (3MB no OTA)" when uploading. And in the example code I used the pin setup from the AI Thinker module. I also changed the ESP-32 CAM power pin from 3.3V to 5V and that helped.

  • Impressive

Shipped with unsupported camera,

Quite disappointed with this product, it came with the wrong/unsupported camera to use with the ESP32-s chip. Supported camera is OV2640, mine comes with ty-qv2 640 V2.0. When trying to start the ESP32 - Expressive camera web server I get an error ---- [E] [camera.c: 1049] camera_probe(): Detected camera is not supported. [E][camera.c:1249] esp_camera_init(): Camera check failed with error 0x20004

Painful Company - Don't Buy

1. You must create an account on the company's website and log in to receive the information (downloads) needed to program your product are. 2. They do not secure their account or login pages.3. The account creation page does not work and does not give any reasonable error messages.4. If they send "data" it will be incomplete and locked (so you can't print it). The kit is useless if I can't get programming information. You can get some power or PC reset switches for easy programming (not…

Works great after I programmed it. (need to download FTDI driver)

Once I was able to upload the sketch it worked as advertised. Yes, I had trouble uploading the sketch. I followed the advice given in another Daedalus review and it still didn't work. I just got a message that the sketch could not be uploaded. Then it dawned on me that I use Arduinos and ESP. -01 which use the CH340 chip and the programmer that comes with this kit uses an FTDI chip, I downloaded and installed the FTDI drivers and it worked fine. If you need this driver, go to the FTDI website…

Good deal on single board computer kit

don't have this (mainly to reduce the size). This kit contains the required separate development board with a breadboard cable set; I wish the cables we used could be more easily used with a breadboard or with some ff,mm and fm cables maybe a small breadboard. But for someone like me who has done a lot of EPS32 projects, I had everything I needed. The ESP32 cam board works as advertised, there are not as many pins available on the development board as you would normally find on an EPS32…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • unreliable

The seller could have easily avoided most of the negative reviews for this product by simply including a page with some basic instructions. 4/5 stars for this reason. There are many esp32cam resources online but this should get you started. Like others here, I had to figure it out myself, and it took several failed attempts. I have successfully used the following in Arduino IDE: 1. Make sure you are using espressif esp32 version 1.04 in Board Manager.2. Select the Wrover esp32 module for the…
