Very good tool for the job

I bought this to remove stuck alloy supersingle rims. This will remove them with a little work (MUCH LESS than the sledgehammer we used earlier). I know it wasn't designed for this purpose, but it still does a very good job. That's why I only gave 4 stars. But from what I've seen, steel rims should work wonders!

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • I will add later

The product looks great, packaging.

The tool looks great but the seller put paper on top of the box when packing. These razor sharp staples cut 2 fingers when opening the box. I'm not talking about the giant clips that catch your eye, they were 5 paperclips punched right through the box's flap. customer at the opening.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Negative gift

This tool works. at Tools & Equipment

I recently bought a little used 2003 F550. Fourteen years old and perhaps the rear wheels were never removed - the tires were OEM. Two tire shops (including a truck tire shop) couldn't remove the wheels from my new old F550. Today this tool has done its job. It took a while, with a lot of tool movements, but it worked in the end. I'm very glad about that. I don't understand why tire shops don't buy this tool. With a little patience it will definitely work. Now I'm tired and have to go to bed…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Good but not great

Low score not because of tool performance but because of a crappy warranty I had a problem with mine, basically the threads on the blower screw had rolled. I called ken tool and then told them I bought it through Amazon. They basically told me there was nothing they could do because they didn't know who was selling them on Amazon. I managed to fix the themes and now the tool is working again. and a word of wisdom, i would recommend using axle lube instead of penetrating oil on the fan screw.

Pros
  • Stable results in testing
Cons
  • There are nuances

We have 16 tow trucks, 12 Dodge 2016 and newer with steel rims inside and Alcoa faux aluminum out back. For the past 3 years we have struggled removing rear wheels from trucks to change tires and brakes, we have broken many sledgehammers, used lights and even once used a winch to remove a wheel. We spent so many HOURS on trucks until I searched the internet and found this tool. This tool is amazing! When we first used it, we were all skeptical that it would work. We've all blown our minds! The…

This tool can make a difference

I'll start by letting you know that I've read the entire background of this tool. Since it's available from Revain and the other one isn't, I decided to give it a try. I got caught on the side of the road changing a blown tire on wheels that were stuck/frozen to the hub and struggled for over an hour to find a solution to get the wheel off. After that experience, I had to find something else. So I pulled the trigger. I suggest you do your research and know that you need to lubricate the ball…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some shortcomings

Great tool. best tool for tires and wheels

This is one of those specialty tools that every auto mechanic or "tool fanatic" should have in their toolbox. Note that this is only useful for removing the rear dual wheels on heavy pickups and large trucks. When you need it, you need it, and while the cost may make you wince, it's worth the price and doesn't smash the wheels and risk other damage to the truck; or pay for a service call. During these calls, the service representative will usually tell you that there are no guarantees and that…

Pros
  • Outstanding overall performance
Cons
  • Upgradeable

But it works. - Tire & Wheel Tools

I bought the KEN34549 dual wheel cage primarily to remove the inner wheels from the hubs where they had rusted on the 2000 Ford F350 pickup truck. The seat that the end of the screw goes into is notched so the notch looks like it should line up with the lip/edge of the hub and fits perfectly. However, the combined height of the saddle and ribbed turnbuckle contacting the wheel is too high for the saddle to fit onto the flange and still allow the turnbuckle flange to properly contact the wheel…
