Only driven about 100 miles but so far so good. I used the same tube as my regular 1.9" tire and it's fine. I'm a heavy guy, 235 pounds, and those 80 pounds seem to be working fine. They roll much easier than my other tires, day or night. I don't ride much off-road, maybe a bit of gravel here and there, and they're great for where I ride. The bike looks silly at the moment but rides great.

Kenda Kwest 20 x 1-1/8 Smooth-Rolling Solid Tire

This is a review of the Kwest 20 x 1-1/8 Bicycle Tire 28-451, the larger of the 20 inch tires commonly found on recumbents be used. I wish Revain was more accurate on bike tire sizes! If your tire says 406, it's not for you! I changed my mind on this tire after wearing out a couple of Schwalbe Duranos on my Varna handbike, they easily last 3x longer and seem to have about the same rolling resistance. I currently have the 26 x 1.5 on my SWB recumbent after 11 years and thousands of replaced…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • poorly designed

TURN A MOUNTAIN BIKE INTO A ROAD WARRIOR

I love these tires. I've used 26 x 1.95 Kenda K838 tires in the past, they've been good if a little heavy. They also made my ride a bit slower due to the large ground contact area. They had an amazing profile but I chose these 26x1.5 tires to gain some speed and shed some weight. Let me say these tires did just that. My ride is much quicker, albeit a bit bumpier, just because they have higher pressure. I run them at about 50psi which is half the recommended pressure just because my bike pump…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Non automatic
