It's nice not having loose or folded cords in my bag. The cord is pretty flimsy, but it retracts and wraps around things nicely for security. After using this lock for two and a half weeks I finally figured out how to retract it quite and easily. I am basically writing this review so others will know too. The problem is that retraction depends on an attractive mechanism (I don't know the exact terminology). If you try to pull it in slowly and guide it so it doesn't tip over abruptly, it won't fall back all the way. If you just let it roll over abruptly someone could get hurt because the head is heavy (RIP my right middle joint). What
