excellent value for money well suited for automotive electronics

great price. Sound quality is ok. I've gone through several sets over the years. They usually last me about a year, but I turn the music up as loud as I can and get a salt water spray at least twice a month year-round. I say this is the perfect speaker for the price and the abuse I've put it through. If you want clear, high-fidelity sound, you might want to check out a home stereo. If you want to fish in salt water and blow up the Pantera on #11, this is for you.

Pros
  • top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • wrinkled

The Average Man's Opinion - Cool!

Look, I don't know high, low, medium or anything. I'm a regular guy who bought a boat and wanted to upgrade his speakers. So after 2 months of googling "best marine speakers” and reading reviews I settled on this one. Installed today and what a difference! Even with an old Clarion deck feeding them! I know when speakers sound good or bad. So if you're looking for the average Joe option, this is great! Even at high volume. Right after writing this review I am ordering another pair of bow ties…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great value and great sound

Replacement for my previous 6.5" Kenwoods which were 12 years old and worked great in hard salt water; The only problem with the old ones is that the tweeters eventually failed. from salt and sun exposure. These new ones appear to be built on the same design; my old ones were made in Taiwan; new made in China; the same pattern with six screw holes, making installation easier. I don't think marine quality speakers come at a better value. Everyone noticed an immediate improvement in sound quality

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Excellent purchase! on Autosound

They're damn good for the price, I'd really pay a little more. The first set has lasted 2 seasons so far, I've decided to add more with this purchase. There seems to be a lot of questions about cutting a hole in fiberglass. We used a regular 5" hole saw, used tape on fiberglass and it was the perfect hole, no problem. were happy to make the hole bigger. You just have to spend a little time sanding the hole to get them to fit. Great bass and sound. Very happy and we are picky.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • There are nuances

Very good speakers for the money. full sound.

Works great! Very good speakers paired with my Fusion RA-55. It spins quite noisily when sitting on the water. It's almost inaudible when cruising full throttle, but rarely with any boat configuration. There is no amplifier connected to my Grady-White. Good range and nice lows - surprisingly full sound. Large magnet on the back and nice design. I've considered spending the extra money on the Fusion 6.5 inch speakers but I'm very happy with them for the money. I can't yet comment on how well…

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Low maintenance

The "Sound " value is best present in Car Audio

Sorry for the pun, but I couldn't resist. I replaced some inexpensive "Dual" branded speakers in the 21ft center console. I use it very regularly in the South Texas saltwater. These speakers started falling apart so their sound went from hmm to done. These speakers were the same size to fit through the holes, I drilled pilot holes for the new screws and screwed them in. Default. They sound a lot better than other sports academies. Better low and high, for now. You're exposed to a lot of weather

Great speakers! Fits Car Electronics

I have eight (8) speakers of this size on my motor yacht. The speakers are powered by a 50W Alpine quad amplifier. Since the power of 4 channels needs to be shared with 8 speakers, the amplifier needs to be delivers only 25 watts per speaker. After those 50-watt Kenwood speakers, I was concerned that Kenwood wouldn't have enough power to sing. Luckily they sing great. I haven't even tried full volume yet; they are so loud and clear. These Kenwoods not only sound great, they look great too. They
