I don't like anything about it.

A clean upgrade from my trusty 20 year old Pioneer which is unfortunately falling apart due to age. I am pleased. Bought because of the bluetooth capability. However, the preloaded features of Spotify, IHeart, and Pandora are amazing. You can download the Kenwood App to manage your music. Excellent.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Some bugs

Would buy more Good for car stereos

Due to the Bluetooth capability I installed this unit in a speaker box along with 2 marine grade 6x9 speakers in the back of my '66 Stingray convertible. It connects quickly to my Bluetooth phone when I start the car and I can change the music selection and volume on my phone. Once the sound is set the way you want it, it stays that way. Gets really loud while maintaining clarity. Great hidden system. Assembled speaker enclosure made from 5/8" MDF board - easy/great/inexpensive upgrade!

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Can hurt

Very important. for car radios

Haven't bought or installed a head unit in a car for a long time. My wife wanted Bluetooth functionality in her old car, so I went for it. For the price and what I need it's great! Very easy to install and set up. I found it interesting that there are different sound profiles for each speaker size, which I think was a nice touch and actually works properly, even with crappy speakers from 2007. The Bluetooth connection is easy to set up. and connects quickly when you sit down and turn on the…

No plug and play for cars and car electronics

Good machine, good sound. Instructions are patchy and I received two quick start guides in my box instead of a quick start guide and an instruction manual. You have to download the user manual and it was a little hard to find. I had to buy a wiring harness for my car and reinvigorate all the connections. Not difficult, but I want them to sell jumper harnesses for their radios. Customize my '99 Jeep TJ like a glove with the Dash Mount Kit. The remote control works great so far. I had to get an…

The best head unit!

I've used Sony, Pioneer and Jvc who currently own Kenwood. This is by far the best head unit I have ever installed in a large rig. In its price range I have no complaints. I haven't used any brands other than the above so I can't say this is the best product. Make no mistake if you don't need CDs or touchscreens. It's half as deep and very light. The heatsink on the back of the unit suddenly gets very hot and almost blisters, so don't let the wires touch it. Pioneer has better looks, but…

Good for the price, but next time I'll use my regular stereo.

I'm surprised this is my first Kenwood system. Seems to be a very good device overall, it does a lot of things and I haven't had a chance to play with all of them e.g. B. the simultaneous connection of two telephones. I gave it 3 stars for sound quality because it's not the loudest car radio I've ever owned. Also 3 stars because Bluetooth seems to have sporadic connection issues. It's happened a couple of times that I've gotten into my truck and it just wouldn't connect. The iPod says it's…

Fully functional yet easy to use and install, all at a great price!

When installed the device looks very basic and doesn't seem to have any features, but in fact it has many features that other devices don't have. You can adapt the sound to the size of the car and the position of your speakers, set it to automatically pick up your phone's Bluetooth, control various aspects of the sound quality and have 3 pre-outs, while many more expensive units only do one . You can change the color of the display, set different brightness modes for day and night to make it…

Without a doubt the BEST Kenwood!

I installed stereos for Best Buy in 1998 and at one time I had my own car stereo shop so I installed a lot of car stereos. Many of them were the same, but only now Kenwood has finally changed for the better. There were features in this stereo that I wasn't even aware of. I had an existing Kenwood that I bought a year ago and the subwoofer performance was exploding so I quickly went to Revain and bought this one. I'm really glad they finally got rid of the CD player as I haven't used a CD in…
