THIS IS NOT A REAL SSD

judging by my poppy this is not an SSD. It's very small and very light though, and does what it's designed to do (minus speed). ***UPDATE***, this can NOT be a legitimate SSD. After using it for several months, I have yet to see write speeds exceeding 80Mbps. Also, it gets very hot. My Mac should slow down writing to this device. That's ridiculous. Also for the record, I only use the device and it comes for that

Pros
  • is clear even the old
Cons
  • confused

The perfect little storage!

I really like how it feels in the hand. I've been discussing adding more storage and I've decided to buy a few drives if I need more storage, which I will be doing shortly. So I don't put all my eggs in one basket. There will be another one soon!

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • A few little things

Reliable Electronics

Wanted to wait a bit before writing this. I was a little concerned. I use this on OS X/OS11. Disk Drill identified a drive with bad sectors, but has done so with other devices before. I've been using it for three months with no problems. I mainly use it to back up photos and Linux/Windows virtual machines with VMWare Fusion. Performance is acceptable and there were minimal connectivity issues. Sometimes Linux (Ubuntu) loses the SMB connection to the host machine, but that happens when the guest

Warm? Yes, it gets very hot after a few hours of play.

Fast, inexpensive, good. Well done! My games load much faster than the spinning HDD and I don't waste my main SSD space or cycles on my games. Very cool, glad I clicked on this purchase.

  • Large selection

Gaming and Overheating

I bought this for the new Genshin Impact game and for Bootcamp so my Mac can play Windows games. However, I ran into a few issues that might be related to the SSD. It's getting too hot to play safely. Second, games keep crashing when I save game files to its drive. They work fine when I boot them to my internal SSD. You may need to find a replacement for better ranking, or at least a better brand.

Great alternative to stick

I like to keep certain things separate (software backups, document backups etc) and the stick is not suitable for writing on which makes this stick a real find. Unlike some drives, when I plugged it into my Windows 10 PC, it showed 119GB available, which surprised me since even the 128GB drives I used give me the same amount of space. This means that Kexin actually measured their disk space as computers use it. . The drive itself has a USB-C connector and comes with two USB-C or USB-A (3.0)…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

Smallest sector size - 4096 - Raspberry Pi won't boot

I bought this disk to boot Raspberry Pi 4 without SD card. This device does not perform this function because the onboard controller does not write to a disc with a sector size of 512. The smallest allowed size is 4096. You can use it for storage after booting from an SD card. This has its advantages, but it's far better to ditch the SD card altogether. I used to order a similar drive, which unfortunately isn't currently available, allowed a sector size of 512, and worked like a champ. I…
