Keychron introduced low profile mechanics with v4

I tried Keychron's first keyboard, the K1v1, and ended up returning it. The gap between the sound of the click, the feel of the click, and the actual registration of the button is unusable, at least for me. Since then I've tried different types of mechanical keyboards but found them boring and uncomfortable. My favorite keyboards are low-profile chiclet keyboards, but I want the durability and reliability of a mechanical keyboard. I checked Keychron again and saw that the K1 was up to version…

Addicted to the feel of typing

I love everything about this keyboard and the switches. Gentle touch with little force, very linear movement. Very short range of motion, more than the MacBook Pro and Magic Keyboard and much less than a regular mechanical keyboard. It's basically a Goldilocks spot! The noise is a very pleasant, soft click when the keys bounce with a little effort. If you type all day, find a keyboard that's comfortable for you. I feel much better with it than my previous keyboards (Microsoft Sculpt, Apple…

Below-average typing feel

When I buy a keyboard, I buy it to make typing easier. This board had a good build, solid material, etc. However, the typing sucked. The keys were widely spaced, which was good, but the keystroke wasn't great. Not sure if they were low profile keycaps or something. I got the blue switches (because the brown ones were out of stock) and they felt so soft. The switch took forever to return to its original position, resulting in repeated button presses. Oh, and I said it was so soggy. It felt like…

So almost perfect. in gaming keyboards

It really pains me to write this. I have Logitech MX Keys which is arguably the best keyboard EXCEPT it doesn't come in the TKL version. I've also long wanted to go back to mechanical keyboards, but with a lower profile so as not to hurt my wrists after 8-10 hours of typing during a workday. Enter Keychron K1 V4. It tested many of my options: TKL, low profile, mechanical blue switches, white backlight, decent wired Bluetooth, Windows/Mac compatibility, function keys, and more. I received the…

Perfect Typing Keyboard

Thanks to enthusiasts who strive for innovation and variety, you can finally find a keyboard that fits you like a glove. For me it is: Keychron K1. This is the first keyboard I've come across that has all (my) needs for a writing tablet: Bluetooth, flat blue switches, TKL, backlight (white for me) and a solid aluminum body. This thing is awesome - it reminds me of the Apple IIc keyboard (orange ALPS) that I loved as a kid. I've played multiple mechanical keyboards, switch types, and even with…
