Don't forget the ignition chip!

I am so happy with this product! My car key broke and I only had one left. Half of the part that has the key inside just fell off. I held everything together with duct tape. Everywhere I went they asked for almost $200 for a replacement key. The only part of the old fob that I kept is the top front half with the chip to start the ignition. I could take it off and put it in a new key fob, but it's very small and taking it out could damage it. I didn't want to risk it and couldn't start the car…

Transponder should already be!

This worked on my 2013 Mazda 5. After being two hours late for work and a call to a friendly locksmith. You must have an existing key before purchasing this! "Why you ask. I'll tell you why: In this case, there is no transponder. You know, the part that actually starts your ignition. Let me tell you my story: If you're like me, you will." buy (because you put the silver key and battery in your new case you bought cheap off Revain. You may even know you have to do a neat key programming trick…

WORKS GREAT AND SUPER EASY TO REPLACE.

When replacing the battery in the factory original key fob, the plastic clip that secures the key head (top part of the key fob) to the transmitter (bottom part of the key fob) broke. I went to my Mazda dealership and was told I would need to order a brand new key fob and have it programmed along with having a new key cut. The total cost is approximately $300.00. The transmitter worked perfectly, as did the key. They just didn't stick together. For a year I used black tape to hold the two…

Both of my keys to my old Mazda 5 were worn out, most of the plastic parts broke when I changed the battery and both needed tape to keep them from falling apart. I decided to replace the keys inexpensively. Overall I would say that the part itself is ok. It appears to be basically identical to the original Mazda key. So if you are complaining about this part, I would say that you also assume that the original key is bad as well. However, I also had a lot more trouble getting the exchange to…
