Ideal for practicing and learning

Great product. It comes with the tools you need to assemble everything. The wiki has step-by-step instructions and instead of just copying/pasting the code to make it work, it's divided into segments that describe how to test and troubleshoot each step. Example: how to use a stepper motor, how to connect two stepper motors. How to control with a joystick. etc. etc. This allows you to understand each process as you build it. Great learning experience

The simplest robotic arm

This is my second robotic arm. The other one was good, but this one was definitely easier to build. It could be 90 minutes total. I really like the HM-10 bluetooth board. I've used some 05/06 boards before, but I like the BLE version better. It should be noted that these robotic arms are more for learning how to control servos than for lifting heavy objects. Don't expect to lift large objects. But this set is really cool.

Nothing for a beginner. Order 18650 batteries and charger when you order this.

Not assembled yet seems to be MANY parts and very complicated, instructions online and a bit complicated. Nothing for a beginner. It seems that when he is ready, he will be very pleasant to play with. When you receive this, make sure you order at least 2 18650 lithium batteries and a charger to power it. I bought a set of 4 batteries / 2 flashlights / 4 port charger for a pretty low price from Amazon.

A good starter kit to start your robotics journey!

This is a serious set! It contains many different components: hardware, electronics and software, but in the end they all come together in a beautiful robotic arm! Robotic arms are one of the best kits because of their cool factor combined with the space they leave to learn and I definitely feel like I learned a lot from this kit. This kit was fun to put together. It includes some cool details that can later be reused for other projects. I especially like the included Arduino shield that you can use to control the PS2 controller. Initially I didn't adjust the claw properly so it was difficult to work, but I adjusted the screws and after that it worked fine. If you want to get into DIY robotics/automation, this is a good choice. The manufacturer has put a lot of effort into making it easy to use for beginners. Assembly takes about 2-3 hours. very well designed and made. Extra screws in case you drop one (or two). .Be sure to align all parts according to the instructions.
