Good product! for anti-theft

So far so good. The item was received on time and luckily I already had a GM OBD key fob programmer so pairing took less than a minute without going to the dealer. These remote controls look like high quality products and will see if they stand the test of time. Note: The GM key fob programmer was purchased separately.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • I won't say anything

The new FOB worked with the old ckt card.

The new FOB was difficult to take apart. After taking it apart, I popped the old circuit board (green and silver) into the new FOB. I used a new battery that came with a new FOB. So far it seems to be working fine. Yes, if you try to use the brand new FOB it will need to be programmed. Not cheap.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Don't waste money at a car dealership! GOT IT!

I called two local Chevy dealers for an FOB replacement price (and programming) and they wanted $300! Programming key fobs. I found such a locksmith and for $50 they programmed both. GREAT!

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Don't pay dealer prices or installation fees!

What most people don't know: The microchip in the remote control works great and lasts a long time. What wears out are the silicone buttons under which you press to open the door to close the door. I took the microchip out of my old remote and put it in the new one I ordered and it works great. Your old remote microchip is already programmed, so you don't have to reprogram it.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Actually okay, but...

Still unused. in interior

I haven't used it yet because I haven't programmed it. No programming instructions were included other than a prompt to go to the website. The site told me the dealer had to program it. When I stopped at the dealerships they told me they were busy, I would have to leave the car all day, it would take 1 1/2 hours, cost $85. They were also unhappy that I had connected them to the internet - they said if they programmed it and it didn't work I still wouldn't make $85. So I couldn't get out of the…

I have mixed opinions but overall got what I wanted

I ended up removing the cover from the new fob and putting it on my old fob and it worked. I took the keyfobs to a place that programs the keyfob. They couldn't get my machine to respond. While they were trying to figure it out, I put a new keychain on my old keychain and it worked. The fact is I now have a keychain that locks and unlocks. should have only bought one as now the other new one is not working on my machine. Still much cheaper than at the dealer or locksmith.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Will write later

Two step process to fit interior

After the dealer quoted the price of a new remote key plus an additional fee for programming, the price of two programmable remote keys from this Revain supplier seemed under-true. When I received them and followed the instructions to learn how to program them, I found that my car cannot be programmed with remote controls without plugging in a special computer gizmo under the dash. Only a dealer or locksmith can program keys for my car. At the moment I am not a satisfied customer. Then step 2 I
