Does not work on 1997 Malibu

Purchased through Warehouse Deals. The Revain garage app says it works with a 1997 Chev. Malibu. Was examined by Revane. When I went to program it (tried 3 times) the original fob I had still worked the first time, but the new fob never programmed. In terms of electronics, the two remote controls look very different on the inside. We will return this item and try a different brand/part number.

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Some Cons

Wears Out Quickly: Anti-theft

I bought this a year ago and it only took a few months for the remote sensitivity to change. I have to push buttons more often and I have to be very close to make it work. During this time, the labels on the buttons were also erased. It still works, but isn't as sensitive as before (yes, I checked the battery), and the lettering has disappeared from the buttons. Works well, but I'm not as satisfied as I had hoped.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Expensive

Very generic and doesn't work very well

Pairing this awesome key with my speedometer was really "rednecked". You need to insert a paper clip into the connector under the steering wheel from one particular metal connection to another metal connection. (where you connect for engine diagnostics) and skip the circuit. Easy to do but seems wrong. In any case, the key factory has no distance. I have to be within 20 feet or it won't work. I think you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works great and easy to set up

I bought these to replace one of the remotes for my 2002 tracker that was lost. My remaining original remote only has two buttons (lock/unlock) and the third button (rear 2x) is not used on this replacement. The setup instructions are clear and easy to use. I had to reprogram my existing original remote when setting up a new one using the same procedure. The total time for the whole process was about 5 minutes. You can find additional help on YouTube if you need it.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Minor things

After programming it works perfectly.

My 1997 Blazer LS 2wd SUV. The programming guide on their website didn't fit my SUV. Other sites didn't work either. It turns out that the remote control receiver can be programmed: 1. Connect pins 4 and 8 on the DLC connector. Door locks respond to locking and unlocking. 2 Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons until the receiver responds by locking and unlocking the doors. 3 Then remove the jumper between 4 and 8. Hope this helps those having trouble. just an information card about theirโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Hard to say

Very disappointed with the remote control

I bought this remote control and it will not program into the van. I KNOW THE SYSTEM WAS IN PROGRAM MODE BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL ACCESS REMOTE STILL WORKS, THE SELLER HAS EMAILED ME SEVERAL TIMES TO KNOW THE PART NUMBER ON MY ORIGINAL REMOTE. IT WAS A WEEK AGO AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. I WOULD NOT BUY FROM HIM AGAIN AND WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO DO THEIR RESEARCH. I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR ANOTHER COMPANY. I HOPE THIS WILL HELP FUTURE BUYERS.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not for 1996 Tahoe - Remote Starter

Tried to make it work, lo and behold! After chatting with the company's website, they said it wasn't for the 1996 Tahoe. I haven't used the remote for 8 years or more. The dealer wanted too much money. I found an old remote that should have been for my Tahoe, it has a "backward" button. I gave them the # on it GM # 15731442 which I just googled and it came back as for 1996. I ordered AC Delco. Maybe you want to save time. Edit, burn AC Delco, it took about 10 seconds! Of course I had a paperโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good Stuff
Cons
  • Reliability
